As Seen on TV: Murder, She Wrote and House M.D. games announced
Just thirteen years after the conclusion of the television show, Legacy Interactive has snapped up the hot Murder, She Wrote license for a PC game. The hidden-object game will feature five all-new mysteries, and will include both the classic Cabot Cave locale and "well-loved characters from the show" including Dr. Seth Hazlitt, Sheriff Mort Metzger, and, of course, crime-solving novelist and potential distant relative Jessica Fletcher.Slightly more timely is Legacy's announcement of PC and DS games based on the House M.D. license. In this game, players will control the members of Dr. House's diagnostic team, including House himself, in five different cases. According to Legacy, the game will involve diagnosing and treating patients with rare diseases. It is unknown whether this process will involve breaking into their houses, as it always does on the show.

Do we get the answer wrong three times before getting it right like on telly in the House game too?
waynski1457 @ Jun 10th 2009 6:31AM
Well at least we can rule out Lupus.

So in House will be start to get the shakes and have to pop some pills to stay a jerk?
The Baron @ Jun 10th 2009 6:57AM
5 whole mysteries/cases?
I can see these games are going to eclipse fallout 3 for playing time.
Bowser Rogozhin: Death of a Ladies Man @ Jun 10th 2009 10:33AM
It's the quality of content that matters. Phoenix Wright, for example, is ten times the entertainment than Fallout, and that only has five stories. Length isn't that important, ask any girl. Really, go ask.
Quattro @ Jun 10th 2009 10:59AM
"Phoenix Wright, for example, is ten times the entertainment than Fallout"
Is this actually based on anything other than your own opinion? Because I can easily say I got more entertainment out of Fallout 3 than I did from any Phoenix Wright game.
The Baron @ Jun 10th 2009 11:49AM
I've learned to ignore your hatred of all that is fun in gaming, but you can't seriously expect these two prime examples of shovelware to be interesting in any way whatsoever!
milan @ Jun 10th 2009 7:16PM
bowser rogozin is a troll guys, everyone ignore him and downvote him, we are all tired of his crap.
Spartan @ Jun 10th 2009 7:00AM
Yea!
Love House the show, but I can't see how the game would work.
Jack Tretton @ Jun 10th 2009 7:51AM
Depends, she wore.
Nook @ Jun 10th 2009 8:10AM
that's so wrong...and funny.
*the crinkling of depends was all she heard in the vacant study...she could tell by the sound that they were close to their expiration...a little less crinkle, some leakage must have occured when that car tried to run her off the road*
Phizzy @ Jun 10th 2009 7:52AM
Is Jessica Fletcher still alive?
Meh @ Jun 10th 2009 9:21AM
If they don't hire the original show writers (like Gameloft did with Desperate Housewives mobile), those games are pretty much screwed.
Level 5 @ Jun 10th 2009 9:20AM
Murder She Wrote... the Game? Awesome, now all the geriatrics with Wii's have something to do when they're bored of Wii Bowling.
Storm Eagle @ Jun 10th 2009 10:10AM
MATLOCK!!!!!
Gibbeynater @ Jun 10th 2009 9:33AM
Please bring in Kal Penn, please bring in Kal Penn, please bring in Kal Penn... they're not going to bring in Kal Penn, are they?
ObiBen @ Jun 10th 2009 9:58AM
Isn't it Cabot Cove? Did Jessica Fletcher live in a cave? Not that I watched the show or anything.....
Storm Eagle @ Jun 10th 2009 10:09AM
-1 Manhood
DWells55 @ Jun 10th 2009 10:03AM
Well, the House game is going to inevitably suck like every other cheap TV show to game spinoff. I hate seeing TV shows I like cheapened by crappy licensed games (Lost, 24, etc.).
Can't wait for House to start again though. At least there's Entourage during the summer.
Storm Eagle @ Jun 10th 2009 10:09AM
Will the House game also challenge players pop Vicodin in time-challenge mini-games? I would also like to know if the game will offer open response selections during conversations so I can make fun of Wilson at every turn.
Heavytoka @ Jun 10th 2009 10:43AM
I would also like to know this lol
fred @ Jun 10th 2009 10:19PM
dialogue selections will be 90% insults and witty remarks
Papytendo @ Jun 10th 2009 10:32AM
Nintendo won't allow Bob's Game, but will allow bleeping Murder She Wrote.
*Sigh*
kiro @ Jun 10th 2009 3:45PM
Who cares... Bob's a whiny bitch!
I rather buy shovelware than a whiny bitch's one man game.
Meh @ Jun 10th 2009 5:19PM
Angela Lansbury is a whiny bitch too and she has her game ;o!
Scottastic @ Jun 10th 2009 11:03AM
Isn't it Cabbot Cove? That being said, anyone get the irony of who wrote this article? I had to check the date, thought it might be April.
AtomicPlayboy @ Jun 10th 2009 12:46PM
Metzger? Feh! They should have gone old school and set it during the Sheriff Tupper era (regime?).
Doombot (zuburi) @ Jun 10th 2009 12:51PM
So she's the murderer!
Duke @ Jun 10th 2009 1:09PM
I might have been interested when House was not so overdone. The show was great for a few seasons and then it became uninteresting as it just pushed the same trite storylines involving 13 over and over. Really, this last season was such a damn bore (with the exception of the finale). And yes, we know it's not Lupus' fault.
refinedsugar @ Jun 10th 2009 1:46PM
If I was a friend of Jessica Fletcher and she was coming to my town, I'd get the hell out of there.
DCBlack @ Jun 10th 2009 2:11PM
I'm pretty sure the House game won't be any good, but I would still buy it. That's just one of those franchises I can't stay away from, no matter what. But for 5 cases, I sure hope the price is reasonable.
ericeman @ Jun 10th 2009 2:28PM
“House” would work real well as a video game. Think of it as Phoenix Wright meets Trauma center. You’d be presented with a medical mystery that you’d have to solve by hunting for clues and performing various procedures. The dramatic plot line would be interlaced with the part of the show where you convince Cuddy and your team that your crackpot theory is, in fact, legally and physically possible. Each of these “episodes” would culminate in one major operation and the dramatic resolution.
LameDuck @ Jun 10th 2009 6:54PM
MURDER, SHE WROTE?! HOLY ^@#$$!
That's... my live is now confined to work and this game. Anyone want a Wii, 360, and Atari 7600?
Velsar @ Jun 11th 2009 11:48AM
House MD... so we can trashtalk our underlings, insult patients, accuse others of lying when they have, and making others feel awful, while also paying for hookers, overdosing on drugs, spying on wilson and making his life and other peoples lives miserable and of course, annoying and abusing cuddy... just as much as smoking cigars, drinking wine, alcohol or liquor, and of course, doing other drugs.
Mmm sounds like a thrill.
Steve @ Jul 14th 2009 10:25AM
Where's my Ironside game?! G*D D*MN IT! lol
