Oh man, I am going to buy this magazine at lunch, just for the poster. My wife is going to think I'm an even bigger nerd than she already did. When I saw Syndicate and River City Ransom in the same tiny section, I knew this thing was good.

Am I just missing it because of the lack of high-res, or is there truly no Dragon Quest/Warrior reference?

It’s a little rudimentary at the moment, as it was scanned in parts and I haven’t re-aligned the image or erased over blurred parts as yet. Oh and I'm taking it down in a week's time, so grab it while you can. I mulling over if I should upload a cleaned-up version, if I can clean it up to a good level.
