Seems like somewhat inconsequential news for us to report on, right? "Magazine subscribers get cool bonus item?" Who cares? Well, we care, you probably care, and anyone who has ever picked up a video game controller should care about the poster in question -- drawn by gaming obsessed artist Gary Lucken and packaged with the latest edition of Edge magazine, this pixelliustrated work of art contains references to every video game ever made.
Seriously, we were going to try to list the video games referenced in the poster (visible in somewhat higher res here), but really, it would probably be easier to list the games that aren't. Let's see ... Klax, and ... well, just Klax, we guess. Sorry, Klax!

I can't find the Metorid reference. Where is it?

Metroid is in the left most screen on the massive damage building, as well as the > icons on the street underneath the Flaming Grill and the Edge building.

Hmmm.. didn't really think about connecting the > signs to Metroid, but now that you say that I suppose you could. Are you sure about that picture sign though? I saw that and thought it sort of looked like Samus' ship, but could really decide since the colors and proporations are a bit off... but I guess a lot of things are like that in the picture. But look at this page:
http://www.edge-online.com/news/edges-subscriber-poster
Look at the 3rd picture down. There's a partial close-up of that screen. Whatever is pictured on the screen has some sort of ladder or something coming down. Doesn't Samus' ship just hover? Doesn't look quite right.

Oh my god! Advance Wars and Viewtiful Joe are on this poster! This poster's pretty awesome. It's too bad it doesn't make a reference to Starcraft...
And c'mon! No Pokemon or Kirby? =/

Thanks for that! I am updating my list with those on it now. It would be so much nicer with a high res photo! Hahaha

References to unknown games:
The cactus by the pavement near the Pong Cafe
The waterskiiers in the bottom left.
The stack of flaming cars
Pretty much everything flying, including the planes by the MASSIVE DAMAGE building, and what appears to be a side-scrolling flying shooter reference just to the left of Bomberman.
The robotic dinosaur.
The floating cherries (?) above the Space Invaders arcade console.
Just to the left of the Flame Grill building, is that Asteroids on the back of the truck?
I believe the glowing stick figures on the pier are references to the Last Guy, on PSN.
Anyone seen a PAIN reference?
Is that Noby Noby Boy next to the ROCK! Stage?

Oh man, I am going to buy this magazine at lunch, just for the poster. My wife is going to think I'm an even bigger nerd than she already did. When I saw Syndicate and River City Ransom in the same tiny section, I knew this thing was good.

Am I just missing it because of the lack of high-res, or is there truly no Dragon Quest/Warrior reference?

Rough, untreated, but hi-res (7.7MB) version http://www.starlac.co.uk/site/images/edgepixelposter-b.jpg
It’s a little rudimentary at the moment, as it was scanned in parts and I haven’t re-aligned the image or erased over blurred parts as yet. Oh and I'm taking it down in a week's time, so grab it while you can. I mulling over if I should upload a cleaned-up version, if I can clean it up to a good level.
