Madden suit settled by NFLPA, retired players
Say what you will about the American legal system, at least the thing is speedy. After all, in late April EA was denying it knew anything about a lawsuit between the NFL Players Association and retired players, and now said players have been awarded $26 million dollars a judge decided they were owed from the sale of games like Madden.
Oh, and sorry if you thought we were talking about that other Madden suit, that one is still in the courts. Man, how do the players keep getting suits on over all their pads?

Damn I think this could hurt the other suit a little bit. It could reinforce some of the licensing.

Errr, didn't read over my comment.
You can either translate that as MON-E or MONEY. Either way, it's $$$,

Lol @ last line. While NFL is an awesome sport to watch, NRL is far more brutal:

Yes NRL is 'similar' to rugby, but its a more refined version i guess, neater maybe.

You're not one of those people who thinks American football is for pansies because they wear pads, are you?
You know why they wear those pads? Because they would kill each other - quite literally KILL each other without them. Look up the early history of the sport. And even now they tend to die young because the strain on their bodies is so great.

"Say what you will about the American legal system, at least the thing is speedy."
That cracked me up. Sure, some cases get sped through the system, but the average case around the big cities can take 7 to 8 years to reach a resolution.

So now I want to know, now that the players have been paid for their likeness, can EA put in there real names instead of just #XX?
