Yes NRL is 'similar' to rugby, but its a more refined version i guess, neater maybe.

You're not one of those people who thinks American football is for pansies because they wear pads, are you?

You know why they wear those pads? Because they would kill each other - quite literally KILL each other without them. Look up the early history of the sport. And even now they tend to die young because the strain on their bodies is so great.

"Say what you will about the American legal system, at least the thing is speedy."

That cracked me up. Sure, some cases get sped through the system, but the average case around the big cities can take 7 to 8 years to reach a resolution.
