European PSN releases for June 11

VidZone launches today, amidst a collection of heavy-duty upgrades to all your favorite games. World At War and Killzone 2 fans have a map pack each to download and Burnout Paradise fans can expand the game world with the new Big Surf Island pack. There are also three full PS3 games and four PSP games to grab. It's going to be an expensive Thursday.

No offence, but i hope it doesn't.

You've got the much more useful video store to enjoy whilst a year and a half later no such thing has even been mentioned for Europe.

In Canada we don't have any of the video services. No video store, no VidZone, and no PlayTV.

I for one hope this works over here.

But i do hope it works for all those folks in Canada and elsewhere who also have no quality video service...

Since i dont use the video stoe except once when it first came out and to download the free episode of voltron i would rather have playTV so the stuff i can record the stuff i watch on tv to the ps3 and not have to find it online or something or watch it on hulu through the browser.

It does not work in the US

For what it's worth, it doesn't work in the UK either! Been trying and trying and trying and trying for about an hour now... "Vidzone is currently experiancing high levels of demand. Please wait a few moments and then restart the application to try again" and again, and again...

here in iceland we dont even get the playstation store for that matter. we nedd it more than asia,US,canada and australia combined.

Has anyone tried Vidzone in the US? Does it work?

Pretty sure vidZone is European exclusive. Something to do with all the copyright shenanigans. Could be wrong, though!

I'm guessing that people in the US will be able to download the program but it will block all the videos which is similar to what the US Video Store does to us Europeans.

We can't even see the Video store or anything on it, let alone download anything.

no it does not work on us or a uk account made in the us since it checks your isp . i tried it this morning

Anyone know if they're planning on releasing a multipack of burnout content? I'd like to buy lots of the stuff already released but would rather wait until I could buy it all at once (preferably for a discount).

Well, they're certainly wasting no time in getting PSP games up on the store at least.

i hope they make rockband unplugged as a download today in the US. or sony/harmonix lost a sale

I would guess that's for licencing reasons. This is the music industries fault, not SCEE (not SCEE Europe as that would be sony computer entertainment europe europe...man I hate redundant acronyms, even if they are due to typos). It's also the reason that it's not available elsewhere in the world e.g. USA.

*wonders why Australia is grouped in with SCEE, seeing as it's part of oceania/austrilasia, and clearly not europe*

While I'm sure vidZone would be cool (here in the U.S.), I'm satisfied with a Killzone map update and a Burnout update. My money's being spent tonight, regardless!

In true Sony fashion, the thing doesn't work worth a damn... tried to launch it a few times now and, "Fatal Error"!

Just when you think Sony might actually do something right for a change... hmm.

Vidzone dosen't seem to be working.

Amazing!!!! More than 2 hours on Vidzone and I already have more than 70 videos on my favourite playlist. And video quality is better than my cable MTV Hits. ¬¬
