Kotaku is reporting that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-shelled has received a release date of July 22, and will be a timed exclusive for the Xbox 360. Since we're not in the business of just believing everything we read, we decided to contact Ubisoft for some clarification.
Our rep at Ubisoft indeed did confirm the release date and the timed exclusivity on Xbox Live Arcade, which is likely to tick off a few PS3 owners out there. We'd suggest copious amounts of Infamous and, if you're lucky enough, the Uncharted 2 beta to get you through these tough times.

Good point--the nostalgia just helps me rationalize all the quarters I lost.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the EXACT same game that you played growing up, albiet with better graphics? Sure nostalgia is there, but really?

Actually it is the game we all have grown up with if you played the arcade ver. I have played the arcade ver and imo, it isn't as fun as the SNES version because it is doesn't have many levels
So it is no biggie that it is a timed exclusive since one can always play the SNES or go to an Arcade that has this game

That's july 22 for the xbla release. I remember hearing sometime during E3 that it was coming to ps3 "later in the year".

And that confirms this will be the first xbla title I buy in a very very long time.
On a side note, I'm not getting emails for a good number of people's replies lately. Anyone else having this issue?

A desperate move on Microsofts part I think. i wonder how much they pay for exclusives/timed exclusives.

You know... all they really needed to do to achieve cellshading here is duplicate the model surface, scale out, paint black, and invert normals. That's it. There is nothing here taxing the engine and instead of trying to get the same cartoony graphics from the original, they have this boring muck. I think I'll pass. All of these screenshots have yet to make me thing of Turtles in Time and trying to at least get SOMETHING cartoony going was so easy, I'm annoyed by the lack of effort here.

Plus I think I own nearly every Turtle game including the arcade style fighters on consoles up to SNES. I'd have to go look through storage though to be sure. I also have all the old toys and VHS copies of the TV show and some comics.
Also there is a stuffed Raphael in my room that is like 20 years old I use to sleep with as a kid. Damn I love the Ninja Turtles. The "new TMNT" TV show released on my birthday and I was so damn disappointed to see them rape the show. You either go dark or comical, not some bullshit in-between theme.

Does anyone know where I can buy a turtle suit from the first movie? God damn I'd love to run around public places or be waiting in line to checkout at walmart and have soccer moms ask me if I do birthday parties and shout, "Ninja's have no time for birthdays!" then whisper for her to get with me in the parking lot and we'll negotiate a price.

I'm still trying to figure out how you came back under this name, when I saw you get banned on that one Batman article.
Guess I should just forget about it. Knowing you, you'll get banned again well...probably in this thread at the rate you're going.

What I love about XBLA over PSN is not only they get games first but every XBLA game have free trials. XBLA is the best.

They both have high quality titles. I think there is more originality and variety on the PSN but both services are very strong and content rich. Wii Ware is another story altogether.
If MS wants to buy timed exclusivity on a Ninja Turtle fighting game then thats their own deal. It doesn't really benefit 360 owners per se because they aren't getting additional content. In fact, all this really does is help boost MS's sales of the title because they are the only game in town.
This just doesn't seem like a big deal or the type of game paying for timed exclusivity.

Well technically, aside from a couple exceptions, Live gets all of them first, by 24 hours even on the multiplats...

There are no "rules" that I'm aware of, which leaves the editors to do pretty much what they want (it is their site after all).
The fact that you've been banned god knows how many times for doing what you do should be a pretty big clue as to why you're always getting banned and why you'll keep getting banned. Normal people would get the message and stop.

I hope this turns out to be a good game. I haven't been impressed with many of the more recent TMNT games.

I played the alpha version of this game at one of the stops on the TMNT 25th Anniversary Tour and I thought it was really fun. You can attack in 360 degrees now instead of just right or left in the original. I played the whole pirate ship level, complete with Tokka and Rahzar at that end (this is a remake of the arcade version, not the SNES). The controls were solid and all the old moves are there. I was quite impressed, and this will be a day one purchase for me.

"Seriously try something new. Or at least try to be effective...."
Maybe you should take some of your own advice. Just a suggestion ... in your own words.

man, I hate microsoft so bad you won't believe. I just can get pass the point why there's still people who buys xbox. Microsoft is paying big money to get those timed exclusive, just as much for the exclusive dlc. Just stop buying it, lets bring the xbox down, forever.

In this case I highly doubt Microsoft paid for this and it had more to do with the development team prioritizing one platform over another.

Well, PSN users get to play Marvel vs. Capcom 2 before us 360 owners, and God knows EVERYONE was waiting for that one. Some exclusive TMNT4 isn't going to break anyone's back.

I think that was just the demo thought not the actual game. Unless I missed something the game is coming out at the same time on both the PS3 & 360. So, it's an apples and oranges comparison.

"and I laugh at you"
Forgot to address that. Why would you laugh at me, when I clearly stated above I'm going to get it on xbla? Are you making fun of me for getting it on xbla, because you think it's inferior to psn? You shouldn't be such a sony fanboy.

Plus, your racist against whites as well you hypocritical herpes doggie. I can't think of anyone that's trolled a website for a year now and keeps coming back and back and back. Something is seriously wrong with you, I mean my god. I'm shocked that I used to troll when I was 18 but your still doing it at 23?

Of course you are racist against whites after thinking I was white when you thought I had insulted you racially, you felt that only whites could be racist against blacks. Your a racist, your a holier than thou fanboy, your a tool, your a hypocrite, fuck, your everything that you accuse others here of being!
But how can you stand being here for a year and being a broken record, saying the same thing over and over again? When I trolled at 18, I realized after a while that it wasn't getting anywhere and I gave up. I don't know why you haven't. Sorry but PS3 owners won't commit suicide, they won't smash their console with a hammer.
Your just wasting your breath, wasting the time you could be spending on your wonderful 360, wasting our time, doing absolutely nothing for society.
