Video: Project Natal invades Late Night with Jimmy Fallon

Last night on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Microsoft's Kudo Tsunoda brought along his baby, Project Natal, and let Jimmy Fallon, John Krasinski, and Stephen Moyer go to town. The footage has made its way onto Hulu and while these are pretty much the same demos for Ricochet and Burnout Paradise that we saw at E3 last week, they're still impressive. If you're wondering about the Harrison Ford garb, apparently it was mentioned that the group didn't wear them for the game's benefit (we couldn't find the clip online explaining it). Is Jimmy trying to start a new fashion trend?

In honesty, I'm more interested in the non-gaming applications it will have... like voice commands for the NXE (ex. launching video chat by saving a Gamertags assigned name)... facial recognition (ex. auto logging into NXE with the correct profile by just walking in front of the camera)... and minority report style controls (moving you hands to navigate a version of the NXE tailored for Natal)

@Badboy: Yeah, that's what got me most realistically excited, the NXE browsing. That can't be terribly hard to implement, and soon. But then again, I wonder if the menu-scrolling fanciness will be enough to offset the price of said fanciness. :(

Nah, I think the immature teenage soldiers smiling and taking pictures of detainees while they are made naked and forced to cram or lie around other men in strange postures and positions is probably the main thing that will still be done until those soldiers are convicted and sentenced to prison by military tribunal (as is happening already).

I find it humorous that whenever I make a logical post that is 100% true it gets downvoted, but if I make a humorous idiotic one it doesn't... this must mean that downvoting isn't that the post is bad simply that the immature people don't like it, so downvoted posts are mainly good, upvoted ones are bad... that's a strange way to do things in my opinion.

Not to be an ass, but I think the only people that upvote themselves are the ones that comment that people upvote themselves. I could care less about it. Velsar isn't the special case here, but I always downvote anyone that signs off with a signature, or a website.

And he doesn't sign off with -cere anymore, so I can't honestly remember the last time I downvoted him. Guy knows I'm not a huge fan of his opinions, but I don't downvote him for it anymore.

In no way am I perfect, as Humanity is as far from perfection as one could ever get, but I do strive to better myself as we are taught and intended. Indeed judgment with qualification and improper demeaning or insulting is looked down upon and I do not partake of such things.
