shovelware? *check*
mr nimblewick @ Jun 12th 2009 4:09PM
Incredibly good looking games? Check.
goldeneyesoldier ( noble prophet of rant and ownage ) @ Jun 12th 2009 4:14PM
Other M alone begs to differ.
Protodude @ Jun 12th 2009 5:43PM
I don't think you know the definition of shovelware
Heavytoka @ Jun 12th 2009 4:07PM
I want Kid Icarus! Maybe Next year.
Austin @ Jun 12th 2009 5:26PM
Wait? People still expect that?
Dustin @ Jun 12th 2009 8:34PM
I came here to comment that there is no Icarus :(
Ghen @ Jun 12th 2009 9:13PM
as long as its not emo teen icarus
Gun Barrier @ Jun 12th 2009 4:08PM
My wallet is going to be losing some weight this year.
DBuck_Eye @ Jun 12th 2009 4:59PM
I'm still not sold on Wii Fit: Wallet Edition. You pretty much insert dollars into your Wii until you're broke. I just don't see what's so awesome about that.
Old Professor Zertoss @ Jun 12th 2009 4:12PM
It's funny how the Scribblenauts devs have no idea of the military applications of their software. Their work leads to a brilliantly designed device with incredibly capable voice-recognition technology that does what Scribblenauts does, but in real life. Unfortunately, the voice-recognition was a little too capable, and "hackers" around the world simply called out "Nuke!" causing nuclear explosives to rain down from the skies, resulting in the 3rd apocalypse.
If only that one Captain Planet fan hadn't yelled "Fire!"
j.howlett @ Jun 12th 2009 4:36PM
if your avatar stopped switching your post nonsensical post wouldn't seem out of place
Old Professor Zertoss @ Jun 12th 2009 4:41PM
Posting from the future causes small ripples in time that Joystiq's avatar system seems sensitive to.
Aivskar @ Jun 12th 2009 4:14PM
Looks like I'm getting a DSi for Flipnote Studios.
brawl96 @ Jun 12th 2009 4:28PM
the big 3 are back(mario,link,samus)!!!
j.howlett @ Jun 12th 2009 4:33PM
i still have to replace a wii for my niece but i will be getting a black one asap. i almost bust out my card to get my own DS after seeing scribblenauts, but i'll wait a bit longer.
David Black @ Jun 12th 2009 4:36PM
The Big N's press conference was a disappointment to me. Yes, we did get 3 good looking titles for the Wii, and 1 for the DS but come on...Would you even doubt that this would be considered a failure if it came from MSFT or Sony? We have lowered our standards for Nintendo and it is easy to forget that they are BOTH the console and handheld leader of this generation. They can do alot better than this....
Austin @ Jun 12th 2009 5:27PM
You said ONE for the ds? Nonsense.
David Black @ Jun 12th 2009 5:35PM
Yeah, one for the DS, at their press conference. There are a bunch of really interesting games coming out for the DS but I only really found one interesting but you could probably argue two. I'm not in for that Golden Sun rubbish.
S. Tiger @ Jun 12th 2009 5:39PM
No, I'm pretty sure Golden Sun DS is the only one good DS announcement Nintendo made.
jason @ Jun 14th 2009 9:20AM
Nothing Beats FF14 at sonys press conference thats bigger then what nintendo can thow out lol sorry yes its a MMO but its free lol beat that suckers .....ooooooh nintendo's online play is shit lol ..
sorry just the fanboy comeing out but still if thats what nintendo has to offer thisa year then say bye bye to Wii sales .....and yes Wii cant never out sell sony's PS2 thats last gens system .....
dantebk @ Jun 12th 2009 5:05PM
Lame! Where's your coverage of Women's Murder Club: Games of Passion? Inexcusable!
"Why join a book club, when you can join a murder club?"
Dante G @ Jun 12th 2009 5:21PM
Rabbids Go Home is also missing...
tenor77 @ Jun 12th 2009 5:22PM
Well it was better than last year, not that that's much of a feat, but there's a couple of games I want to play.
Shmil @ Jun 12th 2009 5:32PM
Great 3 toed sloth of ice planet hoth! You're posting on the ancient blogs from the present? That's highly inefficient proffesor. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go relax the traditional Jamaican way.
ArchiGamer @ Jun 12th 2009 8:18PM
With a glass of warm milk and good night's sleep I presume.
Thief @ Jun 12th 2009 6:23PM
If by Zelda, I hope you're talking about Spirit Tracks... not the joke concept art they threw together in 20 minutes to quiet the masses.
Although i should be pleased by some news of a new proper zelda game, I felt that more insulting.
Mr Khan @ Jun 12th 2009 6:32PM
They could have done nothing at all, would that have been better?
Mr Khan @ Jun 12th 2009 6:36PM
Helps paint a picture of the vastly improved 3rd party situation, seeing it all there
Not nearly up to parity (unless you exclude multiplats, but what's the point of that?), but the Wii is finally getting a good number of solid 3rd-party titles
Matias @ Jun 12th 2009 6:37PM
Great E3, I'm waiting for about 10 wii titles (but only a few of them were actually announced at the E3), and about only 2 ds games (golden sun and...golden sun, well, maybe zelda too, because I can't miss a zelda).
David black, get out of here now, someone that said that golden sun is rubbish doesn't deserve to play games anymore.
ArchiGamer @ Jun 12th 2009 7:00PM
Yeah FrisWii!!
Sam @ Jun 12th 2009 8:12PM
It's so funny how you have an avatar of a man with a bleeding chainsaw arm, and are excited about FrisWii.
Baker1000 @ Jun 12th 2009 7:22PM
Golden Sun DS is just taunting me right now. I need more!
Levi @ Jun 12th 2009 8:07PM
OTHER M!!
geoff0011 @ Jun 12th 2009 8:24PM
I wanted to see Pikmin 3 out of Nintendo this year, but at least they said it's still in the works...sort of.
Kenofthedead @ Jun 12th 2009 10:10PM
Needs more Scriblenaughts
Tyler @ Jun 13th 2009 11:14AM
You forgot to mention Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth.
sparx.jl @ Jun 13th 2009 2:00PM
When I went to my local EB for a preorder they said that the place holder date for Golden Sun is Jan 1st, we all know that not the real date but hope to god its close
friendlyfire @ Jun 13th 2009 10:47PM
Uhh... anyone heard of this little game called "The Conduit"? I could've SWORN I saw it in the High Voltage booth somewhere...
