I felt a great disturbance in the Force. As if millions of wallets suddenly screamed out in terror and then suddenly emptied.
Cosmo @ Jun 12th 2009 12:07PM
Empty wallets but full game shelves, you gotta love it!
tenor77 @ Jun 12th 2009 12:00PM
That's no moon, it's a console!
Glitch W @ Jun 12th 2009 12:01PM
Wow, that's almost 100 tags...
Nice grouping of all the info

gotta love the word play...
NaeemTHM @ Jun 12th 2009 12:08PM
DUDE...I'm going to be playing a shit ton of games this year.
Though honestly the only games I'm super excited for is Splinter Cell Conviction and Mass Effect Deuce.
Cosmo @ Jun 12th 2009 12:15PM
Has there ever been a year where a shit-load ton of great games didn't come out? Its the same each year, lose a chunk of my annual income towards gaming bliss.....
NaeemTHM @ Jun 12th 2009 12:23PM
Well 2008 I hardly played anything, but 2007...sweet Zombie Jesus that year was packed with fantastic games:
Halo 3
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Assassin's Creed
BioShock
Crackdown
Orange Box
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
*head asplode*
NaeemTHM @ Jun 12th 2009 12:29PM
Wait I remember some more:
Ace Combat 6
Super Mario Galaxy
Rockband
Mass Effect
God of War II
...who put that year of gaming together? They should be shot. I'm still making my way through most of those games.
Gregorius @ Jun 12th 2009 12:13PM
Where is the Monkey Island love? That made my E3.
Kyle @ Jun 12th 2009 1:54PM
Thank you!!!!!! I was thinking the same thing, its a huge deal that Dave Grossman is back doing Monkey Island. When I first heard rumors of Monkey Island DLC I was really worried because there are only 3 people who are allowed to be involved in a REAL monkey island game:
Ron Gilbert
Dave Grossman
Tim Schafer
Preston @ Jun 12th 2009 12:23PM
I think it's pretty much finalized that Microsoft "won" E3 this year.
unboring @ Jun 12th 2009 12:39PM
how do you figure? if we are talking about actual games sony won hands down. Most of these games listed are multiplayer! Sony listed AAA exclusives , showed amazing trailers, and showed a live demo of a sub milimeter accurate 1:1 motion controller. I guess opinions are opinions, but ps3 had a way better showing of actual games.
NaeemTHM @ Jun 12th 2009 12:45PM
Ummm....these games are coming out this year. The only AAA game PS3 has left this year is Uncharted 2. What else do we have to look forward to?
tenor77 @ Jun 12th 2009 12:46PM
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
In my eyes Nintendo's conference got beaten with an Ugly stick ;)
PedoJokerBear (aka Deeznuts) @ Jun 12th 2009 12:50PM
multiplayer. really.
WINterfang @ Jun 12th 2009 12:28PM
*Starts slow clap*
idiot @ Jun 12th 2009 12:51PM
bravo
Levi @ Jun 12th 2009 1:14PM
Shadow Complex FTW. With Super Metroid being one of my favorite games of all time, Mega Man being one of my favorite old school franchises, and Contra being awesome, this was the coolest looking game at E3, and I will finally buy a 360 just to play it.
Preston @ Jun 12th 2009 1:18PM
@unboring
Sony has all of. . .what? 3 exclusives that aren't coming to the 360 as well, one of which won't be out until next year? And project Natal blew Sony's motion whatever out of the water.
Jack Spicer PSN: watsuke @ Jun 12th 2009 1:28PM
Actually Sony has 35 exclusives coming this year, nice try though.
Preston @ Jun 12th 2009 1:30PM
How many of these are "timed" exclusives? And how many of them does anyone actually care about?
Jack Spicer PSN: watsuke @ Jun 12th 2009 1:48PM
Non of them are timed exclusives. Out of 367 games for PS this year, 35 are exclusive. They didnt say what every game was so i cant say much about them.
Not impressed with Natal. Not that its not going to PS3, just the fact the paint demo was horrible and they kept saying its only possible on the 360. I can see a much more fun use with the PS3 wands. Also, the fact the Milo demo was gloating about how she can "touch" water, been doing that since PS2 Eye toy.
I guess old is new.
KingOfHearts @ Jun 12th 2009 1:32PM
That intro was pretty pun-ny..
Preston @ Jun 12th 2009 2:02PM
No game list? Then I think I'll stay firmly in the "unimpressed" side. The only titles I can think of worth bothering for the PS3 are Heavy Rain and maybe Uncharted 2. FF Vs. 13 didn't even get a mention at E3, and FF 13 will be on both consoles. So yeah, nothing especially impressive.
Jack Spicer PSN: watsuke @ Jun 12th 2009 2:19PM
I could give you a list but i dont know what games you consider to be, AAA. Me personally, i think Uncharted 2 beat out anything MS showed. I was more impressed with GT5 then Forza 3, Polyphony has put more time into their game and it is showing. Never did get into splinter Cell, had a problem with shooting people in the head and not killing them, so MGS4 is better to me.
So really, even if i showed you a list of amazing games, you could hate them all. Its personal taste and Sony fits mine better.
P.S. Why would the show FFvsXIII if its not going to be out for at least two more years?
Crimson Major @ Jun 12th 2009 2:50PM
Wow, Jack Spicer just reeks of fanboy...
Jack Spicer PSN: watsuke @ Jun 12th 2009 3:22PM
Totally. Besides the fact i own more consoles then most people here, having a solid judgment on the 360 and feeling as though Sony puts more effort into their games, im a total fanboy. Im fact, im playing Jet Force Gemini right now.
Like i said, Sony fits my taste of game more then MS does, i would know cause i have a 360 and do not like many games on it. The only one i was really happy with was Dead Rising. Then again i dont have a Gold membership either, so my lack of online play could be a reason for my distaste in XBox games.
phinnvr6 @ Jun 12th 2009 2:20PM
Lol, there are like 2 decent exclusives (Halo ODST and Forza 3) on the list. Any of those other games you can play on PC or PS3. No big excitement here.
j.howlett @ Jun 12th 2009 4:44PM
i was excited to see crackdown 2
Diskoboy7 @ Jun 12th 2009 6:02PM
As far as I'm concerned, Bioshock 2 ant get here fast enough.
Crackdown 2, Forza 3, and Beatles Rock Band is looking good. I'm on the fence about Castlevania, since the 3-D ones usually end up being pretty lame.
Alan Wake is starting to grow on me, but I'm still skeptical it will end up being the 360's Shenmue.
