You won't even be able to sign on if I remember past times it's gone down like this. So no, you won't be able to.

I do hope that Live Authentication works tomorrow, I'm planning to play a good bit of Rock Band 2 and need that magic Live tick to get my content working again (since it's going to be on my brothers 360, not mine, and most of my Rock Band tracks are licensed to my old RROD'd system.))
Also does anyone know if I get Castle Crashers now, Sign in and play one level, will it save my characters levels so I can play during off line time. (Since I leveled them up playing on my friends copy using my Gamertag (And yes, it does store levels server side hence why it doesn't have a save))

The Zune service has also stated that they'll be down:

On Tuesday, June 16th from 12:01 AM PST for up to 24 hours, the Zune service will be offline for maintenance. As a result, the Zune Social, the forums on Zune.net, and all of Zune Marketplace will be offline.

As you may have heard the Zune and Xbox systems are coming closer together and this service maintenance is to prepare for some of the recently announced Xbox LIVE features that will be available later this year.

It is important to note when the service returns, you will not have any new functions or features. This is for scheduled maintenance only.

There will be 14884793934 fewer racial/homophobic slurs on xbox live tomorrow than there would have been without this downtime.

Strange, you must be using a different Live than the rest of us... I can't even remember the last time XBL was down for more than a few minutes.

@Meth0dical---- Yeah, it took a really long time for me to get in with my gamertag and even so, I'm still off of XBL. I was worried that it was my 360, considering it RROD'd me earlier today due to a brownout but is working fine now.

So since Live is down AGAIN. Can we be reimbursed? It's bullshit that this happens so often when you've paid money for something to actually work.

I want refunded for the MULTIPLE times it's been down. Fuckin A. With how crappy everythings been in the consumer world I don't think it's too much to ask for something to work properly. And I seriously DOUBT it's an important update. Probably a something retarded like new shoes for the gay avatar/wii rip off thingy.

It shouldn't be hard for Microsoft to perform a quick update using SQL Server.

Mind you, I don't know what their exact table or field names are, but since we're getting screwed out of a day, they should add a day onto everyone's accounts.

UPDATE account SET dateexpire = DATEADD(d, 1, @dateexpire) WHERE level = 'GOLD';

My question is, what takes 24 hours, which its looking like they wont make - that they couldnt have done on replicated servers. Orr rather replicated servers with very little data entered. I love the fact coding wise that microsoft gives developers easy tools to work with, but more lately within the past 10 years - it seems that they are content with releasing buggy code that is hard to update for themselves. I wish they would be more content with fixing bugs\problems than pushing new info. Any other large company would never have these issues. Now before the flame bois jump in, i love what microsoft has done with their direction, dev tools, and investments. I am a huge supporter, but this kinda stuff just isnt acceptable nowa'days.
