I've seen regular priced at Futureshop for $9.99, at least last week when I picked up Mass effect for the same price.

I've always meant to pick this game up and for $10 it's cheap entertainment but I think life is too short to play mediocre bland games like Dark Sector, especially when I have a backlog and just about every one of those are much better then Dark Sector.

It was definitely a fun game. I played through it twice on the 360.

Hello, it was a typo. I read plenty of books, thanks. Why on Earth would I seriously mean to call Dark Sector the greatest story ever told?

Don't forget that even if this game were free, there'd be an opportunity cost associated with playing it - every minute you're playing it is a minute you're *not* doing something.

I would say it's really not worth your time - I picked it up used (for more than I'd like to admit) and it is one of the most mind-numbingly repetitive games I've played in awhile. There are some exceedingly frustrating segments (navigating the glaive through narrow gaps in fences) and once you stumble onto the way to get an elemental power on your glaive to clear some obstacle, the same hackneyed obstacle will pop up over and over again.

I'm so far through the game I feel obligated to finish it, but it really is a grind to get through. I can only play it for short spurts before I need to put it down, and it has never struck me as being very enjoyable.

Caveat emptor.

"Not doing something" should be "Not doing something else."

Thanks for the notice - I've been waiting for the price to drop on this one.

I have hit a point in my gaming that I have less and less time to play - blarg. So when I do get a chance to game I feel like I have to 'make it worth it,' going back to classics I missed or playing the AAA titles of the last few years. Oh how I long for the days when I have time to play the excellent and mediocre!

This game was way underrated. The MP is throw-away due to poor net-code, but the single player game was very fun to romp through.

Fun enough that I decided to make a little fan-made trailer for it, maybe it'll convince some of you to buy:

At sixty bucks, this game would've been a rip-off. At the price of a nice sandwich, it's well worth playing.

One of the better games I played in 2008, and that first level was so much fun (very COD4ish as the spy running around in secret). Then the story kicked in, and it got a little weird at times, but the game was still worth playing.

XBox 360 - I own this game and it is completely worth it at this price.

This game looked awesome when i first saw it before the 360 even came out.
Then they changed the design direction with that stupid Frisbee. Whoever made that choice screwed this game!

And here I thought I was getting a good deal when I picked up Dark Sector for $10 at Fry's. Oh well!

So i just got back from amazon where I was going to buy 4 copies of the game for me and a couple of friends, and at 1.50 why not, its a steal right? well when I got to the cart I realized the price was actually adjusted to be 7.29 each +shipping. By no means a bad price, but that just made me lose my interest in buying 4 copies let alone 1.

Guess they just realized their pricing mistake...

I grabbed this game at Best Buy on clearance for $9.99. It's damn good, I would have paid full retail for it.

I hate that mentality.

Yeah, why would anyone want to support the studios that make the games we enjoy?

Dark Sector is a great game. Its a shame that it got so many undeserved bad reviews (Adam from x-play never knows what he is talking about). Its also a shame since i doubt a sequel will happen. I recommend people check this out.
