well, actually, no, because you need atleast one extra button besides the L/R buttons to "undo" and "redo" your big Locoroco... so no-go there...

Good question. If it had an accelerometer like the ipod touch, there could be a whole lot more possibilities in the "closed" state. Still, I'm looking forward to those said games.

They should have put in accelerometer and multi-touch. And that you don't have to open and close the lide all the time. I call boo on this product. I see no point over the standard PSP!

Then there's no point in the Go! at all ;) If it was just like an iPod touch but with Sony software and games that would explain the price tag...

@el serpiente : hell if it had all those functions it would probably sellout through pre-orders alone. I for one would definitely get one of those! :)

Yeah, and the AVcables allow you to output the PSP video onto ure TV
so Daulshock + AV cables + TV + Peace walker = Win

That is a FUCKING EXCELLENT idea.

Now the PSPGo is looking a bit better, it would be sweet to be able to use a Sixaxis or DualShock 3 with the Bluetooth and play PSP games on a TV. You have a portable console to take on the go and also to kick back and play on a TV and couch.

It would also be nice if the PS3 could get an attachment to play PSP games and upscale them like Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker being a canon story to Metal Gear Solid. I wish it was on the PS3 instead. : (

It'd be nice if they let you use a DualShock on the current model PSPs. I mean, it has a USB port on top, so why not?

It probably doesn't transfer any data (except for pairing) through the USB port.

@ BPMOmega [GT,Steam]

DOnt think the USB cable could source all that, i think that was the main idea of bluetooth on the PSPgo,

Thats the only thing with sony, they dont sport there good ideas instead only the ok ones which makes it seem dull, they need to advertise the ability to use the Daulshock 3 and AV cables to play games on the TV and also hurry up and announc the App store

Unlike the 360 controllers, the PS3 controller actually do transmit everything over USB when it is plugged in. I don't know why they bothered adding the functionality to do that, but it is possible. Plug it into a computer and (with a 3rd party application) you can use it fine, even if the computer doesn't have bluetooth.

Ponying up the miniscule funds to put three accelerometers in each unit would have gone a looooong way on this device.

The problem is that doing so and games required them will alienate the other 50 million PSP owners. That's the problem, the newer guys don't get better features to avoid shafting the early owners. Just like the PS3 will be stuck with a 2x Blu-Ray drive in its lifecycle even when by the time its lifecycle is over, 8x and faster drives will be out. Same with the PS2 has always had a now very slow 4x DVD drive. This is to prevent newer games from taking advantage of faster drives and leaving owners with older units with very slow loading times.

This seems like a no-brainer. I'm sure some developers can come up with some simple games that would use this functionality. In fact I seem to remember that back in Feb when the Go rumors really starting picking up, a developer hinted that they had been asked by Sony to look at games that could be run using only 2 buttons.

BTW - I think that bluetooth - dual shock connectivity mentioned above has all kinds of win written all over it.
