So they're on for a 10-year plan now, too?

I'll believe it when i see it.

It is basically a new SKU redesigned Xbox 360 with Natal "built-in". It will not be more powerful. It will not screw over the existing base. You will be able to buy the Natal camera bar separately. But it was a huge mistake for Ballmer to mention this so early, the uninformed consumer base will likely hold off buying a regular 360 this year in some hope that the new Natal 360 will be cheaper and better, it likely won't. I'm buying the Natal day one for some casual fun games in addition to my regular staple of core games that use the standard controller.

"uninformed consumer base"

Your post doesn't make sense. The uninformed consumer base is not going to hold off, cause they're uninformed. They don't know who the fuck Steve Ballmer is or what he said at any given time, cause they're uninformed.
... Sorry but you're just wrong.

Armor, I mean "uninformed" in the classical sense that had your mom known you would come out misshapen and retarded she would immediately have had an abortion, i.e. she was "uninformed".

Why has nobody mentioned the fun that can be had if Natal can pick up my dog and her little dog motions. Seriously, she would love to play as Dogmeat when I play Fallout 3.

As of November 2010 every new Xbox 360 will have Natal and the standard controller packed in the box. It will also be a redesigned Xbox 360 with all current hardware problems completely and totally fixed.

Industry analysts have already said that for the Natal games to sell, the Natal has to come with the system. The hard drive will still be optional, the price would just be too high. For those who already own an Xbox 360, if you want to play Natal games, you buy Natal separately. It will be less than $100 for sure.

It'll be a slimmed down Arcade with Natal bundled in. Makes sense to me.

I hope people will have the option in a game to use Natal or just use classic controllers, and you can change how you play it anytime you want in the options menu.

I just hope they don't abort the hardcore gaming audience. Imagine if they did. Imagine what catastrophic things would happen.
