I can understand that. I think that number will go up as the game gets closer to release and we get more details on the multiplayer. As it is right now they haven't shown us anything dramatically different from the first. I think they have more to show us.

I'm most interested in Heavy Rain because it looks like something fresh and unique. I'm not sure how the QTE based action sequences are going to work but they seemed to have enough depth in them and will keep the player on their toes.

There wasn't very many games that were shown that looked dissapointing. Brutal Legend looked pretty cool (if it releases), Red Steel 2 looked interesting, Ratchet And Clank ACIT seemed fun, MAG was impressive, Alan Wake looked tight (aside from fighting coal miners) and the list just goes on and on.

Like I said I'm most interested in Heavy Rain but if I had to pick just one game that impressed me the most that I intend to buy for sure it would have to be Assassins Creed 2. That demo completely blew me away. Pretty good E3 from Ubisoft in terms of games (Splinter Cell, Assassins Creed 2 & Red Steel 2) but you have to completely pretend their press conference didn't happen. That was the absolute worst conference of this years E3 and maybe in the history of E3.

As far as the Nielsen list goes ... it doesn't surprise me very much at all. Those are all exclusives and arguably the most popular titles on their respective platforms. But, I am surprised about the omission of Modern Warfare 2 considering how well the series has sold and how awesome the demonstration looked. The fact it's multiplatform should have been an advantage for this list. Maybe the lack of a Call Of Duty branding has confused more casual COD players.

"Maybe the lack of a Call Of Duty branding has confused more casual COD players."

I wondered that myself. All my friends know what Modern Warfare 2 is, but we've seen comments from others here that their friends didn't give 'Modern Warfare 2' any notice till they were told it is a COD game.

Maybe dropping the name will make the game suffer more than they thought? I think it'll still sell VERY well... I think maybe just not as extraordinarily as they hope.

Maybe they'll try to combat the issue with heavy advertisement. You know, like "FROM THE MAKERS OF COD4 COMES THE SEQUEL TO THE AWARD WINNING GAME" or some such thing.

Ehh. I dunno. I ain't no PR speak master. *shrugs*

Definitely Mass Effect 2, Splinter Cell, Saboteur, and Heavy Rain (even though I don’t have a PS3, if that game does well, it could be a “gamechanger” in that publishers might be willing to put out genuinely mature games).

I’m also really hoping Alpha Protocol is good, because it will be nice to have a new setting for an RPG.

Oh, ok.

Easier to market if they just called it Halo: Special Forces Unit. I suppose if I haven't been following Halo, none of this would make sense anyhow.

I'm not sure but every time there is a post about something Halo, it seems the author try's to sneak a few "Halo hate" words in there. Just like this one in the last sentence. IDK it might just be me but I have noticed it somewhat often. Like the author is trying to come across as unbiased but cant help but put something even remotely insulting in there about Halo.

Considering console sales in the US, doesn't that mean that interest in Sports Resort is surprisingly low and GoW3 surprisingly high?

Or am I misunderstanding things here?

Wii Sports Resort was originally just "that game that i'm going to buy Motion Plus with," but the more i've seen, it generally seems to get better. I don't really care for basketball or table tennis, but i'm hyped for moar golf, for jet ski, for water skiing, archery, and swordplay (from swordplay, there was a snippet of video of a Mii fighting its way through hordes of armed Miis)

I have to agree with that. I've actually been playing some Wii Sports recently and I'm kinda surprised that it's still fun.

Though I just hope there's a bowling game in resorts.

That screenshot is from a Halo game? Pretty big jump from the fabulously bright bloomy colorful sparklefest that was Halo 3 to the dirt spectrum of Gears. Interesting.

I concur with Halo 3: ODST and God of War 3 up there, but what about Modern Warfare 2 and Mass Effect 2? How can Assassin's Creed 2 exceed thos two games?

@Xbox owners: You guys are Halo whores. There was way more interesting stuff than ODST.

@Wii owners: I hate you.

@PS3 owners: Hell yea! That shit is tight!

Sports Resort? Of all the things Nintendo showed, that's the one the people want? That's why I hate. You should hate too. Together, we can hate those people out of existence.

Not surprised about the Beatles being so low...my enthusiasm dropped WAY off after I found out you can't import the songs to RB. I would love to get RB LEGO but if I can't import the songs...forget it.

Guess I'm an off-beat... since I don't care at all about none of those 3 games. I want some Mass Effect 2, Fight Night R4, Metroid other M... that's the stuff.

"No [insert game here]?

Please, please, PLEASE. We all are thinking the same thing."

No Scribblenauts? Didn't that win a couple Game of E3 awards?

Mr. Hinkle is a sad excuse for a journalist. How are you going to do a cheap shot at God of War 3? "It was followed by God of War 3, which received 49% in support of its comical, over-the-top violence". Come on Mr. Hinkle, could you be professional for one second? Notice how you only made a comment on the PS3 game and not xbox360 or wii. Maybe could you be next time less bias and more balance? Your preference in a system shouldn't influence how you tell us the news. The only thing that is comical about this article how you pretend to be a real journalist. Enjoy your xbox while it still works.

Obviously most respondents missed the Sony conference, although it doesn't surprise me that Halo was on top. ODST looks good, and there's a massive following on that brand.
Uncharted being not in the top 3 just means to me that a lot of people don't know what they're missing. After watching all 3 presentations again, I still think that Sony has the best upcoming game line up overall. and I'm sorry, but GOW3 doesn't look that great to me from what was being showed -- I'm speaking on never having played the series before -- just from what I saw at E3... meh. Too much hype to live up to.
Wii Sports Resort is a big surprise to me. Don't they already have that game??? lol
