Dtoid notes that the real horror is that once the three-minute video starts ... there's no way to exit (not even the glorious Wiimote's Home button will save you). So, if you really need to know how to shove, slide and thread your components inside the Wii prophylactic, please feel free to watch the video after the break.
We know you'll need it: the Wii MotionPlus instructional video

With the release of the Wii MotionPlus, Nintendo has apparently placed how-to videos with applicable games to instruct its customer base on how to attach the accessory. Destructoid took the opportunity to upload the video, which walks a fine line between airplane emergency video and a tape that would be played in "health" class.

What the heck... I have to watch a 30 second ad before I can watch the video? For shame!

Dudes...I totally sold my Wii yesterday. I haven't played it for SO long and I just feel like it's going to waste. Hopefully whoever buys it next will get more use out of it.
On the bright side I have more than enough money for a PS3 and some sweet games! Infamous shall soon be mine!
Though I'm not sure if I should wait for the rumored price drop or jump on it now :-/
Also, I'm definitely not saying I give up on Nintendo. I still have a good amount of Wii games and I look forward to No More Heroes 2, Metroid Other M, and Zelda 2010 so....yeah I'll pick a Wii up again next year. At that point I'm sure it will be cheaper and come bundled with Wii-motion plus.

Dirty, I agree with you. I mean I love both games, and I feel like inFamous has the better side missions at times, but in general I just found the powers and the story better in Prototype.

If there was ever any doubt about the Wii's target market (i.e. Luddite soccer-moms,) I think it's just been erased.

Right, because soccer moms are concerned about Motion Plus.
What's being greatly overlooked here with the release of motion plus is the fact that we are and will be seeing a huge u-turn persay, on the Wii, of straying away from the "waggle-fest" wanna be "casual" oriented titles that the original accelerometers in the remote brought with it.
Motion plus promotes higher quality development, and in turn, higher quality and more challanging gaming experiences.
Say what you want about Motion Plus in comparison to Natal and Sony Motion, the truth is its here TODAY and by the time the other two are released will will undoubtably see Wii 2 on the brink with Motion plus built into the remotes along with its own improved IR.

Way to miss the point completely.
...though I'd expect nothing less.

Well, in fairness, everything after the first sentence of my reply related in no way to the instructional video itself or your comment on it. Just my random thoughts pertaining to Motion Plus and how it's being perceived by the 360/PS3 fanboys.

Probably has to do with some user caused error.
You know that if you plug (or fire up the Wii) in a nunchuk or classic controller while moving one of the thumbsticks out of place, it'll be defaulted to that position... It's probably an error like that.

You have to consider that some of their customers threw their Wiimotes through their TV screens. I'm not sure I'd have much faith either.
It's amusing how strongly the WM+ instructions warn you that the WM+ isn't designed to be used without the sleeve.

Isn't this what instruction manuals are for?
I don't really want to watch this video every time I buy a game that uses Wii Motion Plus.

Wow. I particularly enjoyed the "If Control Becomes Unstable" section.
Just put it down! Put the remote down!

So is this an optional video or is it like some of those FBI Warnings on videos that won't let you skip past them? It would be incredibly annoying to be forced to watch that video.

I feel so much better about using the MotionPlus after watching this video. I just wouldn't have been able to figure it out on my own.
Thankyou, Nintendo. :)

Those hands sure are experienced at grabbing, stuffing, and molding.
This was the most erotic video by Nintendo ever. It's even better than the behind-the-scenes making of DKC (I have that VHS somewhere).

The manual says it's necessary probably so they won't get complaints in case someone's M+ flies off and hits their HDTV.
