here comes gears of war 3 the pendulum wars...what? dont act like a prequel wouldent be awsome! why do u think they killed off tye (i hope thats how u spell it) so fast, and it whould be sweet fight another human army right before the emergence day opening the door for some interesting multiplayer modes.

What's with all the ppl that didn't like Gears 2 it was better then the first one. In the first one everything was fine but the multilayer SUCKED everything in the Multilayer sucked and u get killed by the shotgun every time i hated that that didn't show how good u were it shows that the game needed to be fixed.In gears 2 they changed that now u are able to kill with every weapon.Also what is with haten gears 2 i bet u probably never realy played gears 2.

I know that if I was a developer I'd hold a franchise with lackluster gameplay and almost no replay value near and dear to my heart so long as people were willing to waste money on it.

You play Gears of War and you think you know what you are talking about? You think the first multiplayer was a fluke? Are you fucking stupid? Epic built one of the best multiplayer franchises of all time.

CliffyB has earned his face time at Epic and his place in gaming culture, and Epic have earned the right to sell some fucking DLC. Which is more than can be said for the majority of publishers. After over 10 years of giving free stuff away to support the PC gaming community, one map pack is nothing.

So oooh, big deal, Gears 2 had problems on launch. Who would have thought a game would have balance issues or bugs? It's unbelievable how that could happen. Try playing a Battlefield game out of the gate. When multiplayer is all you've got and you screw it up every time on launch, then you have a valid complaint.

Gears of War 2 was amazing. The campaign is a masterwork of pacing and level design, and EPIC kept the gameplay fresh for the entire campaign (which was fairly lengthy, to boot).

If you disagree, fine, but it's disturbing to see so many people jump on the bandwagon of whiny hive-minded internet cynicism.

Bleszinski is a respected industry figure because his company developed one of the (if not THE) most popular game engines, and because Gears of War and Gears of War 2 are ranked 52nd and 76th respectively on Game Rankings list of all-time best reviewed games.
