Capcom scraping knees with MotoGP 09/10 in March

The next installment in the series brings all of the bikes, riders, and tracks from the 2009 championship series, including a full-fledged career mode that will give players the control to handle not only the racing, but also managerial tasks. But, even more interesting is Capcom's promise to "update the game with accurate real-time content from the 2010 championship at no extra cost." Rounding out the rest of the game will be an Arcade mode, and online racing, supporting leaderboards and a spectator mode.

Hey, I think somebody fell off of his motorcycle racing vehicle. Somebody should go help him. I hope he's okay.

I'm trying to decide if that picture is from the game or not. If it is, holy crap. But I don't think so, the grass looks too realistic.
mars @ Jun 19th 2009 3:30AM
no thats a real photo. but yeah, the sport lends itself well to gaming. the bikes look surreal
ryanpaulmcgowan @ Jun 19th 2009 3:35AM
THAT is how a sports game should be.
Buy one copy and, instead of buying a new copy each seasons, have that one copy last one to two seasons OVER what they do now.
Good show Capcom.

I love this series (multiplayer specifically) but ive never bought any of them. Simply cause if i did another would be right around the corner and id feel jipped. Though i admit thats my excuse for all sports games haha. Might just get this one though. GJ Capcom.
Dumbapple @ Jun 19th 2009 10:53AM
I'm sorry but, where is your avatar from?
I've seen it before and I'm cracking myself up as to where it's from.
NukeAssault @ Jun 19th 2009 1:48PM

Now that F1 died this morning and Codies probably won't release their game next year, might give it a shot.
agent55 @ Jun 19th 2009 8:54AM
note to Capcom dev team: go play Tourist Trophy before you just port over the gameplay from the previous game, TT is the only roadracing sim that approaches actual riding feel/physics.
7ru @ Jun 19th 2009 7:37PM
Cosign 100%. Tourist Trophy pretty much nailed riding physics.
Polyphony Digital really needs to put out a TT2 (mind you it probably wouldn't be ready until 2029)

I love this series... And it will be good for 2 years!
Huzzah!

We have a wreck in the top right corner. Sweet.
Daniele @ Jun 19th 2009 2:13PM
i hope it will be better than motogp 09..i was disappointed by that game..anyway, let's go Rossi
Storo @ Jun 19th 2009 4:08PM
Definitely a picture. If I'm not mistaken that's Shanghai 2007 and the crasher is spaniard Toni Elias.
Flicky @ Jun 19th 2009 4:45PM
What we need is a good motorcycle / handlebar controller.
hormelx-joystiq @ Jun 19th 2009 7:29PM
They've been produced before. Thrustmaster makes (made?) a controller called the "Freestyler". I've got two of 'em. One for the PS2, the other USB for the PC. They work great. You can either clamp it to the edge of a table or desk, or slide it between your legs and sit on the paddle in the picture. Either way works.

Don't they make a PS2 -> PS3 controller adapter? This ought to work with a PS3 if they do (it is wired however). And I don't see why the USB one shouldn't work with an XBOX 360 too.
Keep your eye out for these, because you can't have mine!

The MotoGP games have sucked ever since Climax stopped making them.
hotdog @ Jun 30th 2009 8:39AM
The original XBOX had great titles in the motoGP series then the 360 launched MotoGP06 which was a great game , nice smooth left to right feel when cornereing - MotoGP07 was slightly better with new tracks and better graphics and overall gameplay - MotoGP08 however was a disaster - A different company produced the game and have ruined it - the gameplay has lost all the fluid feel and looks a like a cheap arcade sim from years ago. The bike vaults left and right far too quickly and reminded me of a commodore 16. If the same company is to produce another game i hope they reliase how bad the 08 version was. Even if they updated the 07 version with new tracks and riders the public would be happy
Come back THQ (or whoever did the prev versions)
