With Justin out this week – undoubtedly with a liver full of West Virginia moonshine – the remaining podcast hosts have tapped one Mr. JC Fletcher to bring his formidable video game knowledge (not to mention formidable facial hair!) to the show. The missing host? Face as smooth as a baby's underarm. JC? Grizzled. Think new Max Payne ... but even grittier.

And with an esoteric Japanese video game t-shirt on.

Chris, in regards to the email someone sent about piracy, you fail to address how piracy is any different than just borrowing a game from a friend and instead focus on talking about second hand game sales.

Also, it be so freaking awesome if I got a brush of fame in episode 100! It's one of my dreams!

The episode is only 49:37 for me and cuts out abruptly-- anyone else getting this? If so, is there more or is this intended?

Try redownloading it - I resaved and reuploaded the mp3. Let me know if that works.

I'm on Zune and I'm still getting it in at only 49 minutes and 37 seconds.

I've come to the conclusion that we need more pictures of Chris, Ludwig and Justin because the material people have to work with to make these Photoshops are limited by that small pool. GIVE!

I have an unfortunately unique problem: when I play the MP3, nothing happens. I get no sound at all, nothing.

I also have this problem. I mp3 is the right length I think (1:27), but it contains nothing but very quiet white noise from start to finish. Ho hum.

I concur. I'm getting dead air on the podcast file.

Same here. I tried it in iTunes and VLC with the same result: No sound.

I am having the exact same problem. The first time I DL'd it, only played the first 30 minutes, and when I tried to redownload it, I got no sound at all.

Same here. I deleted it, went back to the iTunes store and redownloaded the episode, and it's still 1:27 of silence.

Problem is fixed guys, hopefully you all will check this.

I agree with Ludwig, Rock band Unplugged is addictive and awesome.
I am lucky I didn't listen to the podcast until today, so I could avoid the problem with it being cut short.
Great podcast as always.
Also, I wonder how many people misspell it as 'podcats' as I almost did without noticing. I wonder what a pod cat would even look like....

Nothin' but dead silence for me, either downloaded from within iTunes or the via link you posted. Opening with Audacity shows a completely empty 1h 27m 48s MP3 file.

The podcast is nothing but blank audio. Today, the 21st, I redownloaded the direct MP3 link, tried it in iTunes, and used google reader. Nothing works. All other podcasts work fine on all the above methods, including those released after episode 99.5 link was "fixed". It's still not working.

I'm getting 1:27 of silence also. Now what am I going to do at work tomorrow?

also, about the MGS screenshots, thats my favorite thing to do in the game. Basically I just run around and lean up against things to see how the camera changes. It makes the game feel more dramatic when I can see a guy walking up behind my cover and praying he cant see me. Hell, thats really the only thing that holds up in that game. You cant shoot in first person (even though theres a button for first person view), you can drag guards with you but theres no real reason to, plus you cant throw them over edges/rails, and then theres the graphics. Man, did that game age horribly.

As soon as I heard JC say that Ghostbusters and Office Space are eternally on TV, I decided to test it. Sure enough, after I flipped through just about 5 channels I catch Ghostbusters during a Bill Murray marathon on AMC. Couldn't believe it but you're right.

I tried out all the different ways of getting the podcast, but all i get is an hour and 27 minutes of silence. PODCAST IS BROKEN!!!

I have tried on different computers and different ISP's to download the file to get nothing playing? Is this a joke! :P

@Chris, since you guys were talking about the original PaRappa the Rapper, which is a PS1 game, it will play on ANY PS3. They are all backwards compatible with PS1 games.

I was really sad I didn't get to listen to this on my weekend trip.

I'm really looking forward to episode 100. Are you guys going to sing again? I believe episode 50 was my first.

I posted this on Chris's FB as well, but WeJo is older than Chris. I'm not sure about Ludwig, but I'm guessing not. He does have a warm boyish charm, though. I also thought he was younger than me.

I just counted the podcasts in the RSS feed. According to the whole thing there are 198, but removing duplicates and Engadget stuff, this podcast was actually 124...
