I could say first, but I'm not that ignorant.

I never really thought about how expensive it was to make the game. Wow, looking back at it... it had to be VERY expensive. It's good that they are finding ways to make up for some of their losses.

This is a win-win for gamers. On the one hand we get a game with super high production value like "Heavy Rain." On the other hand we get potentially bunches of other great games by publishers that are able to use the motion capture libraries as middle-ware.

Actually, it's a win-win-win. I win too because of my expert analysis.

I can't say I'm crazy about this whole idea of interactive storytelling that Heavy Rain is trying to sell but I feel like I have to buy this game. It's just so different from anything I've played before.
Its sorta like Beowolf, I went to see it in 3D for the exact same reason. It was quite an unpleasant experience, hopefully this game is better than Beowolf.

It sounds like it will be very similar in game mechanics to Indigo Prophecy, the mechanics of which I at first strongly disliked. However, the mechanics grew on me so fast that when coupled with the story telling I felt I had to finish the game in one setting.

Wow, what an unexpected and utterly brilliant idea. You know how much time and money people would save by buying a mo-cap library? Well, neither do I, but I bet it's a lot.

Sony should buy it themselves, build up a huge library, and use it to get exclusives. Devs could save millions of dollars and months of work by using the Heavy Rain and Uncharted mo-caps, meaning a PS3 exclusive could cost less... like maybe what a 360 exclusive costs.

Just sayin'...

And Heavenly Sword, forgot about how good the animation was for that game.

So Quantic Dream get a better return for use on their next game, and other devs get to do the same incredible work. What's the catch?

Common Sense.

Abundant and rare, yet making people's lives easier since 400,000 B.C.

Totally understable why this doesn't happen more often but I think this could be great for all PS3 developers.
