I know! After the 2007 Super Bowl or whatever they played at I was like, dang! Rock Band needs Tom Petty and the HeartBreakers. I hate GH and love RB too, but seeing what songs they choose for that and Coldplay I might have to buy. Just glad my 1st gen RB drums work now with GH.

Jesus christ people don't half get pissy when a piece of plastic they're never going to look at doesn't look how they want it to, get the fuck over it and either buy the game or don't...
It irritates me how 'cool' it is to hate GH, especially considering half the people that do bitch buy the bloody games anyway. I'm sorry to all said people that someone significantly more clever than you has come up with something you'll pay money for but if it really gripes you that much don't buy it and stop whinging. I can't help but feel that if the first comment on here had been positive we probably would have a much higher number of positive comments.
Personally, I probably will buy this, not straight away and probably second-hand, DLC is all well and good but I can't be the only one who enjoys the challenge of new songs I wouldn't normally listen to...?

Plus tbh I really don't think that's a bad cover bar the promo text, yes it can be done in Photoshop but so can merging a load of pre-rendered game characters with a load of brushes, just because it's a bit more mature and won't stand out on a shelf to someone with a half-second attention span doesn't mean it's crap...

Making it all black with the 'Guitar Hero 5' logo on it in white would even be better than this. This is just... blah. Why would they have the case covering both the guitar and the amp in the background? That should be in the front, no? Oh, wait, there's a pedal there with a cord, awesome.

I disagree. The first few games showed characters rocking out, and that was it. Even World Tour had the band element on the cover.
But ever since GHM, it's been all about plastering band names on the front...getting the Guitar Hero logo on there...and apparently now putting the feature set on the FRONT of the box.
But I totally agree that is an ugly friggin' game cover.

I can understand why you all hate activsion but guitar hero is a fun game and call them 'expansion packs' but for people like me who can't access the ps store it is a chance for me to get some new songs.
