If the months standing between you and the trials and terminations of Mass Effect 2 are driving you out of your gourd, some momentary respite might just be on its way. An announcement regarding the DLC for the original Mass Effect which was teased during E3 "may be coming this week," according to a recent tweet from the BioWare Twitter feed. "Keep your eyes peeled," said tweet warns (with little consideration for our ocular health).
With the good Doctors' promise that said announcement would come "soon" after E3, DLC news dropping before the end of the month certainly makes sense -- then again, the party responsible for the aforementioned tweet was a gentleman known as "Evil Chris," a moniker that doesn't exactly fill us with confidence.

I don't like mass effect. I am more into the fastest selling video game of infamous. Infamous has sold more copies that mass effect or any other game in respect to the time period. Get it the game, we need a DLC for infamous please!

The only reason infamous is selling is because it's the first good game for ps3 since killzone. Ps3 owners such as myself, are starved for AAA titles on ps3. Such as it is, when one finally comes along, it's only natural that a good game sells well.
I liked infamous, but it really reminded me of crackdown, with less havok to wreak and no cars to drive. Oh, and no enigmatic Wang. Infamous could be a side mission in Mass Effect anyway.

I really really want more mass effect DLC, but honestly the thought of an arena doesn't really get me that excited. I'd much prefer to have more things along the lines of Bring Down the Sky, which was awesome.
I'll still buy it though, or at least I will after I buy ME from the full game downloads in August :\

I didn't really enjoy Bring Down the Sky. It wasn't challenging for my maxed out character and I ended up blowing through it very quickly.

Will they announce the DLC sucks in advance or will we have to wait until the reviewers get it?
Mass Effect is a great game. It's too bad the side missions are so lame and the DLC only slightly better, at least so far.

I'd agree, but dammit... This game should have had at least three DLC releases so far. I want to be hyped to play it again, as it has been far too long since I've even thought about popping it in. Coincidentally, every time I do think about it, it's usually "I wish I had some new DLC to play."

All the talk about ME2 has got me playing through the first one for the 3rd time. They are smart to release new DLC now. It will only add to the excitement and get people back into the story. Ever since announcing ME2, they have been pretty good at making sure there's always some sort of ME news every week.

I have mixed feelings about the downloadable games. Some games now (fallout3, CoD:WaW, lord of the rings) I have already put from the CD to my HDD on my 360 (120GB one) and I am down to 70GB already (each game taking between 5 - 7GB a piece) if they do this download the game I am going to run out of space very quickly, thus the 120GB HDD isn't going to cut it for me, yet MS doesn't have a bigger HDD and not to mention the price of them are outlandish to say the least.
Bigger HDD for cheaper please MS, I know you can do it, you can easily create a 500GB one for 100 bucks.

It has to be story based if it wants to hype me up, maybe tease in a few me2 characters and you could make choices that give you a slight boost in me2 for them? Maybe even just have a bit that teases on the plot like fable 2s see the future

I love this game but that's my only quam.. When it was released, multiple DLC was teased then like 8 months later we get 1 aNd that's it since. Now that ME2 is announced, it's kinda too late to get excited for DLC for ME1 unless it directly effects the story of 2..

Its nice that the first DLC was free for the PC version. I hope the PC version will get this new DLC the same time as the 360 version, same goes for Mass Effect 2.
Going off-topic, I bought Mass Effect for the PC last month, just started playing it and ran into a fucking glitch in the elevator on Feros. I saved in the elevator and when I activate it, the loading screen is frozen.
I googled the problem and others are affected as well (360 and PC versions). I only had one save and it looks like I have to fucking start over ALL OVER AGAIN. 10 hours down the toilet........
This is why you have more than one save game, I've always gone by just one save game in all my games and only now I get screwed.

I wasn't best impressed with Bring down the sky, sure it was free but ti was unfulfilling. I was also annoyed to find out that Mass Effect doesn't have anyway of having mod's at all either, I know it was a 360 port but still, and it's unreal that's pretty modable.
I' hoping Dragon Age will have mod's, cos if not I'll start loosing faith in Bioware, RPG's on PC need mods, story editors, Aurora, OMM etc.

I'm just curious if this new DLC will come with the old DLC as a bonus.
I recently started replaying ME1 because of all the new announcements, but I never got the first DLC and I'm holding off purchasing it until I hear all about the new DLC.
Hopefully, there will be some announcement before I lose interest in the game again.
