Did you know that Ratchet & Clank, like Madden, is an annual franchise -- having only missed the year 2006? The third Ratchet & Clank Future game on PS3 in as many years is coming this fall as A Crack in Time.

A Crack in Time promises to deliver more story than ever before. We'll find out more about Ratchet and the Lombax race thanks to the revelation of Alister Azimuth, another member of what was thought to be an extinct species. We'll finally find out what happened to Clank -- and we'll probably discover how he got that badass staff. See all the major players of the upcoming R&C by browsing our gallery here:

Actually I'm glad he's back after he spent 50,000 lightyears on an asteroid at the end of R&C 3.

Hopefully this will clear up that weird plot hole in tools of destruction regarding angela in number 2, who was also clearly a lombax.

And how painful it was, to survive that year.

That being said, I hope that this R&C clears that plot hole (like MrAlex said), reintroduces co-op and online multiplayer and delivers a ton of crazy weapons, graphics and gameplay. I'm not expecting less than that Insomniac, you're my favourite company, don't let the down :D

i guess since this isn't on the joystiq page the trolls missed it, but it's not like people seriously have negative things to say about the series

and heres to hoping theres no multiplayer trophies if there is in fact a multiplayer mode

Alistar Azimuth looks just like Dennis Hopper.

they need to add online multiplayer and co-op
it would be dumb if they skip that
and online multiplayer trophies would be sick
and it would be sick to see a leveling up system

i want this, but i want a collection of the ps2 games like metal gear and DMC.

Hmmm... while technically correct, one of those was a downoadable episode that is not to the same scale as the other two.
