Killzone does have some minor Sixaxis support.

In campaign: turning valves (kinda lame) and setting remote charges (kinda neat).

In multiplayer: fine aiming when zoomed with the sniper rifle (pretty neat).

Did some of you actually watch the whole demo. Did you not watch the sword and shield demo because if you did just maybe you would have witness something that could easily be implemented within a game beyond waggle.

Switching the wand for some type of item did not impress me and to be honest nothing showed from the Sony E3 demo impressed me that much but what did get me thinking is that Sony 1st party devs will be able to take what we saw and bring it to us probably in a game I will want to play instead of the mini games I see on the Wii.

You are right that the Sony wands will be like the Wiimote but there will be differences. First, you have a camera and speaker phone unlike the WillMote. Those two things themselves separate the Sony Wands from the Willmote even with M+.

Yes, Sony will include some type of analog stick on one of the Wands. They will probably sell the analog stick the same way Big N sells the numchuck.

The problem I really see with Sony setup is that with the Wiimote and M+ hear and now and getting really good reviews, this might steal a lot of thunder away from Sony's wand.

MS is in a class by themselves with Natal because they are trying to do something a bit different. MS has an opportunity to leap frog both Big N and Sony or they can totally crash and burn. Until we see working copies of Sony and MS solution, everything else is just speculation.

For the most part, I agree with you. The only thing is... Nintendo invents, everyone else just likes to emulate. Let's do this "for example":

Nintendo invented the "non-joystick" game pad (directional + buttons)

Nintendo invented "shoulder" buttons (L+R)

Nintendo invented the analog thumbstick (I mean a functional, multidirectional one)

Nintendo invented "force feedback" in controllers

Nintendo invented motion-based controllers (I won't mention the Power Pad)

Nintendo invented sound feedback from controller (not emulated yet by others)

Anyway... my point is that what Nintendo invents, everyone else copies. This IS NOT A BAD THING. In fact, I'm looking forward to what Sony and Microsoft have to add to our gaming world. The more the merrier, etc etc.

I just wish that for once, a game company would think up something brilliant BEFORE Nintendo does. That way NINTENDO can do the IMPROVING.

Just one more point and I will leave you alone. You need to read up on some of the Post E3 articles on Natal. I believe the one on Eurogamer showed exactly how Natal sees two different people. For each person that is within Natal view, it will do a complete bone structure point(48 I believe). Each person can and probably will have their own gamertag associated with that image. So when you log in, Natal will map your body and when the second person login it will map that person body. Once mapped, Natal will ignore everything else within the background include other people and objects. It's actually pretty slick how Natal work which is why I hope someone make a truly innovative game using it.

"If you believe everything you read, you better not read."

7 CONTROLLERS AT A TIME

Point being... most of what you hear or read about upcoming technology, especially in the videogame world, is speculation or the early release of technical specifications that haven't been implemented or figured out completely yet.

NATAL looks EXTREMELY promising, but I'm cautious about how well the tech will work. We'll see when we have it in our homes. But for now... it all seems sort of far-fetched. Every time Peter Molyneux makes a promise, an angel loses its wings.

To be honest, I am not reading about what the hardware sellers are saying, I am reading about what people who have actually experienced with the device are saying, which is something totally different.

I have also read from a number of different post from developers who was demoed Natal saying that the device works as advertise. This is more impressive to me than any E3 slick demo that MS or even Sony can provide.

The Nintendo directional pad is highly proprietary and patented.

On the game front, you have to give it to Big N but to be honest, they were in the game making business first. If you think about it, MS strength has always been their integrated software and you see that with XBL. No, MS was not the first to bring online to consoles but I believe it's safe to say they were the first to do it right.

This is MS innovation to the console space while Sony has always been their ability to build on what others have done before and making it just a little bit better (ok they failed with the Dual Shock and PSN). If you look at the PS1 and 2 up to 3, you see that Sony loves to take and ideal from their competitor and try to make it better.

The Motion Wands is exactly that. Some people would say that Sony was developing Motion tech before Big N but in reality it doesn't matter. It's who bring the technology first to market thats the innovator, not the company who sits on the tech for years not know what to do with it. Now that Big N has shown Sony the way, they have found the balls to bring their technology out but it still feels like they are still playing the game of improving over existing tech then innovating.

What people are not telling us is that secretly Microsoft and Sony are working with Take Two and Apogee on Duke Nukem Forever with full motion control for both the current console gen and the next gen as well. All of this misconstruing and misunderstanding for both companies is a a red herring to put people off of the trail, as well as the lawsuits. After all, most secrets these days are usually leaked at some point, so why not put everyone on the wrong scent? It doesn't matter the cost because in the end, when the consumer wins, there will always be more money for development and innovation.

I think it will fly and be the biggest shock of the 21st century until Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony are all bought up by Verizon and AT&T to offer their version of Onlive via cell phone service but with full 3D, 1080p, and at a 5g network speed!

All this endless debating will be settled Fall 2010.

It has always been about the games.

this is non-news, but oh so wonderful at the same time.

what we now know:
- it has a glowing ball at the end
- 4 wands at the same time (4 players or 2 players with 2 wands, could be awesome)
- memory and spu overhead (duh, but the spu's are often free anyways so not THAT big of a deal)
- face tracking and head tracking can be done (very cool, though I doubt it'll be used much or be nearly as accurate)

I'm looking forward to this peripheral a lot.

They should make the eye also track the PS3 controller (as if it is the wand). That would be quite amazing.
