goboColossus is spot on. The experience of online gaming is practically identical....worldwide. The only difference is what language someone is badmouthing you in.

I did have a *personal opinion warning* thing around my first comment but it got stripped out :(.

don't get me wrong... I am not trying to compare them... I have both a PS3 and a 360. I enjoy them both, they are both great and each have their pros and cons.

My personal opinion is just that I prefer the PS3. To each his own.

Yes, of course, people whine on both... thats why there is the *mute* option :)

yeah, the only true difference between live and PSN on that front is that PS3s don't come with bundled mics. you have to go out of your way and buy them yourself. from my experience, that usually does mean LESS whiny kids, but you still HAVE whiny kids , which honestly isn't that much better.

Idea for Microsoft, put age verification on Natal. Use height if nothing else.

"Sorry, you can't play this game with the adults unless you are over 5' tall. Now why don't you go play Viva Pinata with your little sister while the adults play some MW2."

That would be amazingly awesome! ;)

The console? Shit, my mom would light me on fire for behaving like that

The first Modern Warfare had one of the top 5 best videogame endings ever, so unless Modern Warfare 2 turns out to be a piece of shit I'll lick Infinity Ward's ass and call it ice cream.

I'd hate to see the rest of your list. I like MW. The ending was a stupid cop-out. Easily one of the worst, least conclusive endings I've played. "You'll be all right, my friend" *news report*.

When I'm playing coop all I really care about is blowing stuff up with my friends. I don't care if it messes with the "experience", if I wanted that I'd play single player. Why do some developers have to be so arrogant on this issue? Just stick in another no-name character and call it a day, even if it clashes with the storyline does it really matter?

go play Army of Two: 40th day. sounds like what u want, not a serious story about the life of a soldier, which is what CoD is.

Because they want to make an awesome single player shooter, which requires very different things than a co-op shooter, but they have to include co-op or "arrogant" players and reviewers will piss on them?

You know, if this was any other game I would probably be pretty unhappy about weak co-op, but I'm figuring the versus is just going to be so god damned amazing that it will more than make up for the lack of co-op support.

Bowling also said that the whole game won't be playable in co-op because the developer is "crafting a very specific experience" and doesn't want to "ruin that by cramming co-op into it."

You know, one of my least favourite things about Resistance 2 is that you can't go through the campaign in co-op.

Resistance 2 campaign =/= MW2 campaing

Hell, MW story was more gripping than Resistance 2's. i personally liked resistance 1 better than 2 tho

I won't be buying it if it's like MW with no online split screen. Infinity Ward needs to talk to Bungie about how to do multiplayer. And before you flame me, I mean multiplayer on the same tv and 4 player split screen online.

Make it as an ''unofficial'' feature. Make it - so those who want to access the ''not fun campaign coop'' can.

I really dont understand what you meant when you said "Why cant every developer be Infinity Ward?" Are you that much of an Infward whore? I mean sure they make great games but I can think of atleast 3 developers that are better than them. Bungie, Epic, and Valve. Seriously get off Infwards nuts. This isnt even that great of news. Co-op! But you cant play through the whole game cuz we didn't feel like doing that!

The single player campaign has no co-op in it at all what so ever. What they did was take some really great ideas that didn't fit into the single player campaign and create a new mode called "Special Ops". That is the two-player co-op part. It will be comprised of several different missions, one of which is an expanded part of the "Mile High Club".

This is also very ideal for DLC later on. Just add a new "Special Ops" level in each new DLC, like adding a new Nazi Zombie level with each DLC. But is MW2 gonna have a horde mode like Gears2/Halo:ODST/COD:WaW:Nazi-Zombie/Left4Dead-Survival ?

Wow I really hate when developer force stuff on gamers. Why not just let use the people buying the game decide if we want to play 2 or 4 player co-op.

personally I think 4 would be better just up the AI

"It doesn't fit the plot" is an incredibly lame excuse, ESPECIALLY for this series. You're part of a squad, right? Whatever happened to that little detail? Surely it's not that hard to believe a squad could have even one more person in it? I mean, really, it just seems like a terrible justification.

Um, no. You simply have the other players fill in as 'generic' characters. Nothing complicated to it at all, really.

co-op in the main campaign does sort of distract you from whats going on. (what with you talking to your friend constantly) you can not here what the characters are saying.

But if there is Co-op in Campaign LET IT RAIN ACHIEVEMENTS seeing as me and my friends are so competitive if there is achievements on Co-op then we can get them at the same time with out having to race to the end of the campaign on vet to see who can get more
