Anyone know if this will be included in the Game of the Year version coming in November? I'm probably gonna buy the game then...

According to Wikipedia (nothing but the truth, right?), the GotY Edition will include all 5 DLC packs. That would be a "yes" to your question and a "yes" when people ask the same question about Mothership Zeta late next month.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallout_3#Downloadable_content

From the source:
http://fallout.bethsoft.com/eng/home/pr-051909.php
"A Fallout 3 Game of the Year edition will be available in October. It will include the original game plus all five add-ons for $59.99 for Xbox 360 and PS3, and $49.99 for PC."

Hope that helps.

Has there been any word about releasing just the DLCs as a pack for those of us who got the game in a more "timely" fashion?

@zero:
From the (same) source:
http://fallout.bethsoft.com/eng/home/pr-051909.php

"Fallout 3 Game Add-on Pack #1 includes The Pitt and Operation: Anchorage on a disc and will be available for Xbox 360 and PC on May 26.

The Fallout 3 Game Add-on Pack #2 includes Broken Steel and Point Lookout on a disc and will be available for Xbox 360 and PC in August.

Retail versions of the game add-on packs for PS3 are not possible and the DLC will only be available for download online via PlayStation Network."

I have yet to get any of the expansions for Fallout 3 yet but are all of them worth buying? I still need to finish the regular single player campaign but I'm curious to see what else is out there... so to speak.

To avoid making a long-winded argument that'll make people toss the old "TL;DR" at me, I'll put it like this:

I've bought them all, and enjoyed them all, although they're each very different.

Op:Anchorage is completely unlike Fallout 3. It even plays differently. It's fun, although short. The Pitt is plays more like Fallout 3, and has (arguably) the toughest moral choice to make within the entire game. Again, very fun, very short. I personally don't regret buying either, because I've loved every experience I've had in this game. I am, admittedly, a Fallout 3 fanboy. I simply can't get enough of it.

However, Broken Steel is worth it for any fan of the game. It adds a great deal of content, as well as raises the level cap to 30. There are new enemies spread across the Wasteland, as well as new weapons. Toss in new perks, and remove the ending from the game, and you have a game that has more gameplay than before. I can't recommend it enough.

thats just dumb at level 30 all your stats should be at 100 which would make the level up process putting you over 100 on certain stats which would take a complete revamp of the entire game you cant be better then 100%

I'd playing on Hard. Yeah, you'll still hit the cap (earlier, even), but encounters are way more interesting.

And do not, I repeat, DO NOT take the "Grim Reaper's Sprint" perk at level 20. It makes the game REALLY easy (and boring).

You're going to hit the cap if you play a lot. Might as well make/keep it enjoyable.

I'd be adding this to my queue right away if I wasn't paranoid it was a bit buggy like Broken Steal. Since I downloaded that, my game freezes up on occasion when at a loading screen. Never did that until after I downloaded Broken. It doesn't happen a lot, quite rarely actually, but it is a bit of an annoyance when I have to start from an earlier save after making some progress.

Has anyone encountered any unusual behavior from their game since downloading Point Lookout?

I have been having some problems with vats locking up after downloading the lookout point. May just be my xbox, but it would be nice to know, shame this post didn't end up on Joystiq proper.

Bethesda sucks...and in bed with Microsoft.

But I do hope this expansion is what Fallout3 should have been. Interesting and fun.

I left my xbox online right before I left for work. I hope the download finished without interruptions so I can play it immediately as soon as I get home.
