Seems you are torn between Quantity vs Quality oppoents. But if the D-pad has you on the fence.....buy an arcade stick.

...which would likely cost more than the game yourself. here's an idea: if a demo comes out on XBL, then try it to see if the bad d-pad makes the game worse. if it is, then choose the ps3 version. if it's not that noticeable, go with the 360 version.

Yeah but you can use the arcade stick on all fighting games not just this one. I bought one not that long ago and haven't looked back since.

Call me crazy, but I'm just not a big fan of arcade sticks. I really like playing fighters on the D-pad. It's just a preference thing. And the Xbox d-pad is crap.

Just like Navarro said, fact of the matter is; is that the Xbox 360 controller has a horrible horrible D-pad for fighting games. Now, someone suggested an Arcade stick, which will be awesome but then again not EVERYONE plays with an Arcade stick. Also you still have the option to buy an Arcade Stick for the PS3 too, but if Navarro doesn't want too and he prefers the controller like some of us fighting gamers do. Then it's best for him to simply get the PS3 version, fighting games work perfectly if you're a D-pad fighter, the 360's controller works more for first person shooters.

As for the whole "360 will have more people.." that in my opinion is a ridiculous claim, and here is why. On call of duty games, yes it's true there are more people online on the 360 version when comes to COD4 and COD5, they lead by like 3 million or so. Thing is, is that not everyone will play, not even a million players. If you go online on the PS3, there will still be a great amount of people playing, and the same witth the Xbox 360. Yet non of us are ever going to play more then a 500,000 players are we? I doubt it. If anything we will most likely play those are in our lists, or in clans we join and fight other familiar clans.

This same rules applies to all multiplatform multiplayer games. I hope that answers most people questions.

Not necessarily, since there is still a market for collectors who want the game in its original media. Same thing goes for people who pay more for unopened classic games or the original release of a game that was later rereleased.
