Ham blasting gives 'Kosher' Ghostbusters Achievement

Following the tenets of a religion is supposed to net you blessings and well-being, but that's just not tangible enough for us. Judaism has wised up, though. Those who follow its teachings in regards to keeping kosher – specifically by blasting a ham at a bar mitzvah in Ghostbusters – will be rewarded with an Achievement (and a Trophy, we presume) called "Kosher." It's only 10 points, but still, it's substantial.

It's so annoying when people say "this isn't news". Seriously, Joystiq can't win. If they post anything to do with one console have better sales or new exclusives, it's flamebait. If they post anything that isn't some BREAKING NEW ANNOUNCEMENT then it isn't news.

If some of the people here had their way, we'd only have three or four articles a day. And it seems that I, along with at least fifty or so others, find this to be interesting enough to post on.

So please, just move over articles if you don't think they're news. Let people who like reading more than three articles a day enjoy them.

Is it just me who doesn't have time to browse multiple gaming blogs, when half the news in the same anyway? I come to Joystiq because the truly important news is always there quickly, I prefer the layout to Kotaku (personal opinion obviously), and the commenters are often hilarious.

And why can't those who have seen 'old news' before just skip over it?

yeah, this is a 360 and playstation article. see the two headers up on top. i truly hope this doesnt bother you. i dont see anyone giving a crap when they use ps3 to show off a multiplatform game. and if ive missed any, those people should chill out as well.

Plus we worship the fact that oil lasted 8 days instead of 1. How lame is that! We are the only religion to have a holiday sponsored by Exxon.

don't see anywhere where the article refers to something that happened 70 years ago. Just because he said Jews does not mean he's talking about holocaust. Just like i can talk about a black person and not be talking about slavery.

you might have a point if jews weren't persecuted to this day, with many arab nations going so far as to denying the holocaust even actually happened. Point is, it was an insensitive jab, and the responses are no different than if the trophy was for blasting a bucket of chicken and a joke being made about black people. He didn't make a holocaust joke, but he did say "always". And although he may have been waxing sarcastic, in a world where there are still millions of people who deny the holocaust ever happened, it's not a cool joke to make.
