I assume they're still using the same guitar model from GH:WT? That thing breaks after a couple of hours, probably best that it's NOT in the bundle.

I know what you mean. Mine just broke and only works when you strum up. Everybody fights over who has to use the broken controller. I gotta pick another one up.

How are these drums though?? I've only ever used the RB1 drums and my mic is on the fritz. I might pick this up. The game is about $60, so you are getting the mic and drums for $40 more.

I bought the set for GW:WT and aside from the touchpad not workin on my guitar (it's oversensitive but can easily be turned off via menus), it all works beautifully. The only complaint I've ever had is that I have to recalibrate the drums when I switch TVs (the process takes less than 30 secs).

I've been playing (real) drums for 7 years and the GH set, IMHO, feels much more natural than the RB one (before flames set in, yes, I own both).

@Ethan Rom

RB 1 drums are not that good.

But, rb2 drums are sooo nice! BIG UPGRADE!

I know i am going to get hatted on, But you can twist an ankle on the kick pedal on gh drums!
And rock band drums work with gh games.
I was playing the metallica demo the other day.
I need to get that!

Gotta hate xenophobes.

I'd get one right now if they'd ship outside North America.

How is that xenophobic? That's like calling someone homophobic because they're not homosexual.

Yet more proof that Smash Hits should not be sold as a full-priced game.

Even RedOctane has a "hidden underground warehouse with a long-lost lot of GW" discounted for the ever hungry consumer population.

This isn't a deal. Wait for it to start hitting $50.

The game, drum set, and mic for $50? Really? You honestly think that will EVER happen?

Did anyone ever think RB2 SE would be discounted to $80 for either the 360 or PS3 by GameStop for an extended time?

http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=74941

The music game genre is bloated. And big-box items are the last thing retailers want laying around when they take space from fast moving products.

RedOctane is most likely responding to the lack of purchase requests from these retailers, and selling their over-stock directly. This has been their norm since December.

Damn it! I bought the game on Friday. So buying this would kinda be pointless except for the drums and microphone.

I just want the drum module so I can used my ION drumrocker set through MIDI box and then the GH:WT module to the 360. Yes, I could just plug the ION right in, but I'd like to use the 5 pads layout in GH:WT and GH:SH. eBay it is!

Are you fucking kidding me...
I bought Smash Hits for $60, a GH Drum set for $99 and all I got was a free kick pedal. That's some serious bad luck.

Weird to have this for just one day. I'll pass. I'm waiting for Rock Band 3. Then I'll jump in. Waiting for everyone to get their peripheral kinks out.

I'll have to wait on that. Turns out my yellow pad is not working. You know, considering the price, they should at least have it fully functional out of the box. But maybe that's too much to ask for...

Def recommend buying this. IMO, the Guitar Hero drums are MUCH better than RB2s. More bounce, and more fun to play. My only complaint is the stand, which is really wobbly. Also, Rock Band should have mapped the blue notes to the orange cymbal when playing with these drums. It would feel WAY more fluid that way.
