1200 points for 4 player online coop is easily justifiable.

Just don't pull a Castle Crashers network code on us =p

I prefer to say, "don't pull a behemoth on us." Considering that literally none of their games work. Alien Hominid couldn't save for like half a year.

Good fit for XBLA, though the eight-player co-op of the PC original is some of the craziest LAN fun I've had. Too bad this is capped at four.

Why so seri-

Oh god, I'm so sorry, the car was coming so fast and your sister was in the way while your parents died in the hospital and your dog got shot, but anyway, yeah, why so serious?

This is fantastic news. XBLA/PSN/WiiWare are fantastic places to dump old PC gems, especially simple first person games. I'd really like to see Blood, Dark Forces, and Heretic/Hexen pop up on here eventually, just to finally repurpose my old DOS box.

I couldn't agree more. Blood was one of my all time favorites... Shadow Warrior and Sin would also be excellent additions.

Nice. I pine for the days of wacky, balls-out, mindless FPSes like Serious Sam.

And while we're on the subject, howzabout a sequel to Armed and Dangerous? Hello, Planet Moon Studios? Hello, LucasArts?

Armed and Dangerous remake/port/sequel would rock. I'd love to see Monolith churn out a No One Lives Forever 3/4 as well.

No One Lives Forever was awesome. I never really got into the second one, though.

I'm in the opposite group - I loved No One Lives Forever 2 but never played the first one.

I was just saying this would make so much sense the other day. Maybe this means a next gen Serious Sam might happen at some point.

HD graphics are one thing but will Croteam have mastered "rumble" for this version. To the best of my knowledge neither of the previous games had this feature, which I thought was a bit weird. Other than that I can't wait. Loved the original.

We used to annually get together at night on Christmas and do a Serious Sam session with the Christmas theme (Santa hats if I remember)

Pure fun

"Now THAT is a lot of bull!"

That game was full of great one-liners. I actually just starting to replay First Encounter, great game. I might consider picking it up, I dunno since I already own it for PC.

can you turn around fast enough on a joypad though?

some of the fun of this game is just how fast paced it is!

Maybe if they implemented a Doom style 'hold left trigger to sprint' system, so you can turn quicker? However I found on Doom I ended up with cramp in my left finger 'cus I never let go of the trigger!

The fastest FPS i've played on a console is Unreal Tournament 3, if it could be atleast as fast as that I would be pretty happy :)

I had the original xbox version (which had ep 1 & 2) and it was definitely fast paced and insane.

I can't wait.

L4D integrated a 180 turn on the shoulder button - it worked well.

Looks very similar to Hudson's Onslaught for WiiWare.

Neat.

Hell yes. I think Serious Sam is the best FPS ever. Especially the last boss at the end of the First Encounter...

It's a shame that nobody plays online in Doom or Duke Nukem 3D. Those games are excellent classic multiplayer.

Loved the original I "acquired" it a few years after it hit shelves. Had a blast on Co-Op so this should be great with the live user base

About time, I'd say. Serious Sam was very, very good, in a mindless sort of way. And 4-player online coop? I'm sold!
