Wait, I thought the old article was a joke of some sort? Well, they should have just gone with Modern War Hero. It was the best one out of them all.

Nope.I believe Marvel Owns 'He-' & DC owns '-ro'. But they are in talks to buy the rights to the word 'super' from nintendo.

Someone mentioned this last article and was right. Once you get this stuck in your head... you can't unstick it. This could be a really good game, but the hero has me brainwashed.

God of War, Gears of War, Warhawk, War Hero... do Americans never tire of war?

Never.

Apparently War is the only conflict worth exploring in the context of video games.
I would venture that the ratio of non-war to war-related games is something like one for every ten.

Your assuming tone clearly gives you away as a Frenchman, and in that case I'll say that yes, we 'Ame-hi-cuns' love our war games. Go eat a baguette.

As long as I get to do a kick ass guitar solo after I shot down every enemy, then everything is fine with me.

Such a hypocrite. Not a week passes since his comments about Bungie and Infinity Ward and they have like 10 more WWII games coming. Nice.

I'm not French. And I enjoy some shooting once in a while. I enjoy things not in my daily routine.

It's just that, videogames used to be escapism, today they look more like braindead military training or propaganda. Perhaps to make it easier for, when the time comes, the young to join the army to fight wars in foreign countries.

Not the case with Wii though and even, to a lesser extent, with the PS3. But the war thematic is very in-your-face in both American gaming platforms: PC and XBox. yes, I know GoW is from Playstation, but developed in America.

I'm not sure Gearbox wants their upcoming nebulous war title to be associated with a near-burnt-out music series, do they?
