Capcom creates countdown-free teaser site

Hate countdowns? Love mysterious teaser sites that barely hint at an upcoming game? Good, because Capcom cooked this one ready for your perusal. The number 1560 simply fades in and out, moving from left to right. While some are postulating it's another Onimusha game (the first game took place in the year 1560, and is based on the Battle of Okehazama), we'll use the power of Wikipedia to show us some of the more interesting things that happened in 1560:

I want a game where all of these things are connected in a vast conspiracy spanning both space and time.

Yes, I referenced a Will Smith film.
I apologize deeply.

I don't get it. How does something perceived as a year that occurred 300 years before the movie takes place have anything to do with it at all?
As in...
The movie took place in the 19th century... I imagine sometime around 1850-1860.
That date is in the 16th century... the year 1560.
WHAT CONNECTION DOES WILL SMITH HAVE TO THAT NUMBER? I'M GOING INSANE.

I really enjoyed the first couple of installments as well. Even though the games were linear as hell, the surrounding environments were so rich with detail that other games in the genre paled in comparison visually, IMO. It didn't even matter that you couldn't interact with 90% of the level, it just looked so pretty.

Ahhh. That makes more sense, now. I was wondering what the big deal was over turnips. Unless turnips have their own story as well.

Its an old upscale retail trick. Not selling well? Raise the price. High price gives the appearance of exclusivity and appeals to people's egos which is what the high end market is all about.
I say its genius and a damn good business move... if you can get away with it. Crust up crap with gold and crystals and sell it on to self absorbed suckers.

ALERT : It shows 1573 instead of 1560 now. Surely not a countdown then. Maybe, they postponed it.
