The internet has played a big part in the drama of Iran's recent presidential elections, disseminating information about the re-election of controversial leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad faster than most major news outlets. Fearful of this powerful resource fueling further unrest, the Iranian government has cut off all online activity -- all but gaming.
Apparently, Ahmadinejad's government is not afraid of protesters communicating via World of Warcraft to plan the next protest rally, as noted by Security to the Core and GamePolitics. Also, Ahmadinejad has not yet downloaded Prince of Persia's Epilogue and is just dying to know how it all ends.

you should not make fun of someone dying like that. No matter what he did, he was still the Elvis of pop, and hell Beat it is still an amazing song. His thriller album is still the highest selling album of all time. So cut the guy some slack and let him RIP.

1st The ayatollah backs him up completely, 2nd he never said a shit about bombing that state, propaganda took his words out of context, 3rd he is just defending his country of the west and the proxy oppressors. anyway @charlie b, that was no joke that was a middle finger to foreign interest.

Right... nothing like brutal repression after a rigged election to show what a good guy you are.
Seriously, avan, tell me you are not sticking up for this guy. Foreign meddling or no, the guy has threatened to wipe Israel off the map quite a few times, and I assure you no amount of spin can change that.
He's basically a mouthpiece for the Ayatollah and the mullahs, though. And that's frightening, since it means he's not a lone nutjob, he's got the real power behind him that believes the same things.

Again he didn't said that, the propaganda manipulated his words. The Brutal repression your talking about is there yes but it was generated by many factors like again "foreign interest" so you cant just blame him for the blood bath, and no im not sticking up for this or any other guy, they are all the same shit i just dont like when ppl start throwing rocks and hiding hands, show me a government full of good guys and ill die happy.

I'm with Avan on this one. There has not been any definitive proof of fraud conserning the election. The Western nations are certainly upset by the results (fair or unfair) but NOONE has presented any convinceing evidence to back up the clame that the election was rigged. NOONE HERE has any clue if these aligations are true or not and to proceed under the assumption that these rumors ARE true is irresponsable. WE have no right to protest the results either. Those Brits who were arrested for protesting in their country should be subject to exicution as spies if they should choose to do so. As to THEIR citizens however, I fully support their protests and they should be free to do so in a non-violent fashion. Exicution of the newly "elected" leader would further destabilize the nation and cause additional unrest and is therefor NOT a desireable result for ANY nation, expecialy US arrogent bastards.
