Making the dogs dance in Moonwalker was cooler than what most of the "me-too" first person shooters are now offering us.

RIP MJ

You know, a lot of people focus on the latter, creepy half of MJ's life without realizing just why he became so disturbed. I'm not sure if anyone else here has mentioned this, but it goes without speaking that he had an extremely screwed up childhood. He grew up in a family of Jehovah's Witnesses who forced their kids religiously solicit neighborhoods, his father was an emotionally, physically and (allegedly) sexually abusive parent, and it's often suspected that MJ received the brunt of the abuse.

The above isn't an excuse for his eccentric, suspicious behavior. But the fact of the matter is he was never found guilty of anything, and none of us can claim we know enough to dismiss him as a disgusting pedophile.

He really was a tragic figure. He was a musical genius and should be remembered for the incredible impact he had on the world, rather than being remembered for his fall from grace.

Most geniuses tend to be very eccentric. JM Barrie (creator of Peter Pan) ironically had the same problem Michael Jackson had with allegations of child abuse.

And really, it's sad that he's gone now. I was hoping to see him bust out another new dance move. I've never seen a dancer like that. Fucking amazing shit. And Thriller was such an entertaining music video.

Never played the Arcade Version (don't think it came to Minnesota) but did play the port on the SEGA Genesis, though I don't remember finishing it. History will remember Michael Jackson as an incredibly talented entertainer with a very tragic and flawed character; while he was alive my friends and i would always say about Jackson: "He had talent, he had money, everything, why sleep with children?? Why?? It was the worst career decision, and possibly the cost of fame. I am going to stop before this becomes a rant, I'll leave that to others in the blogosphere.

Thanks for posting.

It's a little known fact that in inFAMOUS, you can unlock a white jacket and matching hat as an extra skin, if you've got good karma.

You unlock a Joe Jackson skin if you've got bad karma.

The Moonwalker arcade game kicked ass. The genesis version... not so much. Could be fun to play around with, but not even in the same league as the arcade version.

Man, Michael went before his time. I for one have always been a supporter and I grew up listening to his music over the last 25 years. There will never be anyone like him around again. At least not in my lifetime if ever. He was truly a brilliant and extremely talented man. I think he was successful because he approached life through the dream like eyes of a child. There was no limit to what he could do because to him it was as simple as going out and doing it. I'm sad that I will now never get the chance to see him in concert. It will be one of my big regrets in life seeing as he was the music and pop icon of my generation. I hope he's resting peacefully now. He gave the world so much in the way of inspiration I hope that people just forget about the nonsense of these past few years and always remember how much of a bright star he was and still is even after death. It's a shame that most people are only realizing that now he's dead.

I gladly admit to enjoying the arcade Moonwalker! It was pretty bad ass for an arcade game and it was hard as hell! LOL It would be nice to have that redone for PSN/Live. Man do I feel old.......LOL

Somewhere around 250,000 people die every single day. Jesus people, wipe your tears. These are some pathetic conversations going on.

Child Molester or not makes no difference to me, just another dead person, the only difference being I listened to his music a lot when I was ten and occasional I'll play a classic tune of his. Quick let's build an idol to how awesome he was!

Ok, you don't care, good for you. But what the hell did you think you were gonna accomplish with that post. You think all us Michael fans are going to switch to your opinion just because you're comparing him to the 250,000 people that die everyday.

No.

Obviously if someone posted RIP Michael Jackson then this affect them in some way. Personally I grew up listening to Michael Jackson and still do very much, so of course I'm going to be sad. This blog post is suppose to be a small tribute to Michael by showing his fans MJ's Moonwalker.

RIP Michael Jackson, you're music and humanitarianism is more appreciated than you will ever know, thank you.

I may be sad about Michael, but not as sad to know that some people sit at their computer desks trolling and post on topics that they have no interest in. If you wanna make a name for yourself kid, try having a number one top-charting album.

I just re-watched that Martin Bashir documentary Living with Michael Jackson. Abused by his father and forced to perform since he was 5 f**king years old, he said he used to cry when he saw other kids playing outside. What a poor soul he was. No wonder he acted the way he did, befriending youngsters and living in a giant fun-fair - he was trying to live the childhood he missed. Unfortunately that made him an easy target for all sorts of ridicule, rumours and accusations. Poor man. The prime example of the tortured genius.
He was part of my childhood and he'll be missed.

Looks like quite a few people are upset that their hero liked little boys. Graying out my comments won't change the fact that the guy deserved to die in jail.

Everyone deserves to die with dignity.

Whether anything was true or not, thats not my business nor really anyone elses but those involved. For someone who spendt his entire life in the public eye, i can imagine that the average persons reality didnt HAVE to apply.

Pick your battles if you hated everyone by what the media says you might as well hate all of disney becasue walt was a pedophile, and antisemetic.

dont fucking judge someone you don't know, about things that never involved you, that you heard 3rd or 4th hand or idle media gossip.

When you die who will remember you? what YOU did? and what legacy you leave behind?

Monster or not, molestor, genius, whatever the case may be. A man is dead, and no life isn't important.

That arcade game is totally a classic!!!!

at the end of every level you see his face and just his mouth motions and say EEEOW!

If you have never played the arcade game go get mame and play it.. its awesome..
the genesis one was just a crime against god compared to the arcade.

my favorite part is turning into a car (i think it might have been a delorean NO less! and blasting off!

For all of you defending Michael I didnt say he WAS a child molestor. I said he was ACCUSED of molesting a child and what would happen to a normal citizen accused of the same thing that didnt have all the money he had huh? Bad thing about American justice is that it can be bought. Very few rich people in prison, mostly the poor who cant afford fancy attorneys and/or massive legal teams and strategists. Just look at OJ, is there one person in this country who doesnt believe he killed his ex and her b/f?? If you were accused of the same thing as Michael was you would be ostracized, fired from your job (assuming you have one and dont just sit around on your ass in your parents house playing video games), expelled from church or other religous group, thrown in jail with a high bond that most people could not afford, you would sit in jail for 1-2 years awaiting your trial, lose your property, your family, everything you know. Then even if you were found to be absolutely not guilty the damage would already be irreversible. So dont tell me that he didnt get special treatment cuz he was rich. And for all you suckas out there talking about album sales, he used your money to seduce little kids, so I hope everyone that has bought an MJ album feels good about that!!!!!

so he had money so what he earned that money so why not use it to defend himself. You cant posibly tell me you wouldnt use money if you were in a jam. anything you say to justify your first response will be wrong plain and simple. oh and to the OJ thing I honestly believe he was inocent and his lawyer proved just that. THE GLOVE DID'NT FIT MAN!!!
