SouthPeak bringing Trine to PC, demo out now

Supporting three-player co-op, the game is due to hit PC, PSN and XBLA (the latter via Atlus) in late summer. PC owners don't have to wait for a taste of the game, though, as the San Francisco Examiner turned us on to the fact that a demo is available now from BigDownload. If you want a better idea of the console version's gameplay ... plug in a 360 controller and BAM!

Are you sure this is coming out for XBL!, Joystiq? I just checked the official website, and it mentions only PC and PS3 Network... There's also a gap between the PC and Playstation logos at the bottom, which looks like it would fit a 360 logo... Could it have been cancelled? I'm guessing it's delayed, but...

Isnt it possible to hook up a PS3 controller on your PC instead of a 360 one?
snarfoogle @ Jun 26th 2009 9:08AM
Yes, this is a clear indication that Joystiq is extremely biased. For shame, Randy Nelson. For shame. *rolls eyes*

Unfortunately, Sony hasn't provided PC drivers for the Sixaxis or Dual Shock 3. However, hackers have brewed up some custom drivers, which have had mixed results. They have never worked for me, but do work for some. You'll have to do some Googling to find them, I don't have a link handy and I'm at work so I can't really look.
64 bit drivers were just released like a week ago, I'm totally going to try them before I get this demo. I've been meaning to so I can finally buy Braid. I refuse to spend $60 on the 360 controller / wireless dongle pack, so I really hope these 64 bit drivers work with windows 7.

Wired 360 controllers are going for $17 on eBay. FYI.

I really hope they change some of the mechanics. The wizard is incredibly overpowered and the warrior is completely full of suck, at least from what I played. There was no indication of that changing though.

There it is.
