Trademark registered for 'The Lord of the Rings: War in the North'

The mighty trademark digger at Superannuation has unearthed The Lord of the Rings: War in the North. The trademark was applied for by the same company that handled Aragorn's Quest, which could signal another one of Warner's Ring offerings, designed to appeal to families as well as "hard-core RPG fans."
We'll be sure to communicate what's happening in the war to the north when we learn more.

War in the North eh? So this would be a prequel to the Lord of the Rings? The Armies of Arnor (Aragorn's decendents... those badass 'Rangers of the North') fighting Sauron's minions (including the Witch King, lord of the Nazgul)... could be very good.. so long is it's made for adults and not little kids...

I like the look of Aragorn's Quest so far, so I hope this one is like that. I never really got into the "Battle" series. They looked nice, but gameplay was monotonous.

WTF, and you call yourselves LOTR fans?... there won't be a BFME III... Electronic Arts lost the rights, now Warner holds them. I do hope, though, that they make a kind of spiritual successor, another RTS of The Lord of the Rings.
Even if The Battle for Middle-earth III was gonna come out some day, it would never include content from The Silmarillion, EA only had the rights to the 3 films by New Line and the two novels published by Tolkien himself, LOTR and The Hobbit.
