Lost Planet 2 demo coming 'soon,' features 4-player co-op

Takeuchi showcased a number of new features during the Famitsu program, such as computer-controlled bots, custom weapon sets and character customization, which he explained can be done using items you unlock in tandem with certain achievements. We don't know whether any of these features will be present in the demo -- but if it's as similar to the E3 demo as Takeuchi says, it should be radical enough without them.

i think there are less splitscreen games, in particular with LP i doubt it because it would be too demanding, consoles don't have the hardware to run games with graphics like this split into 4

I'll give it a shot.. solo as per usual.. not been keeping an eye on this, as I didn't like the first one.. what with collecting heat & being shot at even though I was in cover (just like on CoD 2 & 3)

Yeah what's this got to do with Playstation. Man joystick is really slipping lately. I think they forget most of there readers started reading because it was PS3 fanboy. Yes, the game is coming to PC, I hope we get the demo around the same time as well.
Sadly, there's been several times where the PC version of a game doesn't get a demo at all, like Dead Space. And then we are forced to pirate the whole damn game just to try it out. > : (

Exactly, what is so bad about split-screen gaming? Don't kill it out entirely in favor of online gaming, ugh........

I think part of it is a technical limitation. Depending on what engine the game is running on, some systems might not be able to render it without sacrificing graphics. and if they are tight on time for the release, split screen co-op would prob be the first thing to get cut as its something that isnt a major purchasing factor for most ppl imo.

Most likely not. They only have the 360 version developed. That's why they demoed the game on the 360 during E3 and not the ps3. My guess is that even though Capcom said they would make a better ps3 port, that the ps3 version will initially release for $40 on the ps3 and look worse just like the first Lost Planet did.

Why would anyone vote this comment down? Lost Planet 1 got pretty poor reviews all round, check metacritic. Not the worst game ever, but definitely a bland gaming experience. Download the demo and try it yourself.

I am pretty excited about Lost Planet 2. Hopefully this time the plot will actually make sense. The game play for the first was fun, but the plot left me confused as hell.

I am seriously contemplating getting a 360 this October, I really love the demo for everything on the marketplace thing. I REALLY WANT TO TEST OUT A GAME BEFORE I BUY.
