An upcoming patch to Mass Effect Galaxy promises to increase performance on "lower-end devices" by an "estimated 50%," according to BioWare's official Twitter account. Released on June 22, Mass Effect Galaxy is the iPhone OS-exclusive title which details some of the backstory for characters featured in the upcoming Mass Effect 2. According to users on BioWare's official forum, the app runs at a pace similar to that of the original game's infamous elevator system (read: hella slow). BioWare promises the patch will release within the next ten days -- just enough time to finish loading the elevator sequence shown above.

You do realize the elevators were the load times?
The only one that really annoyed me was the one inside the Normandy.

@profoundbuffoon: Nihilism is the belief that nothing exists. Please explain how Ballistic H is wrong.

I refuse to resort to Google or a Holiday Inn Express, so I'll just go off of my limited knowledge. It's not the belief that nothing exists, but more the belief that nothing has a point or greater purpose than what you see: The Emo school of Philosophy. I can see how elevator load times might not get your attention if life is pointless.
Will to power bitches, even if Atlas shrugged in the face of a dead God due for resurrection once Lazarus comes forth .

There's a low-end iPhone/iPod Touch? They're all practically the same specs/performance.

iPhone 3GS has a faster processor versus the iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPod Touch.

The first two phones (1G and 3G) and 1G Touch are slowest (and all the same speed as each other). The 2G Touch is faster and the 3Gs iPhone is the fastest.

The game is not even available in the German App-Store :-( Is it an US only release or can I thank the infamous USK for classifying it as a youth-endangering killerspiel?

Thank god! I muscled through during the first planet. It's a decent game. But it needs a fix fast. I just wish that you didn't control Jacob with the accelerometer. Hopefully this patch adresses the issue with the game continuing to load as you start the level. It's soooo slow.

ok seriously tho, anyone complete this ME adventure? is the story at all relevant or interesting? i wanna pick up an ipod touch soon and this game was/is high up on the list of must haves..
i love ME, about to start a 5th playthru to try and get asari companion achievo (ugh, such a touchy one) and a few others im missing. cant get enough of the story either even tho i know what happens. in every single mission. all the time.
elevators were annoying but that never broke the game for me. i was more frustrated with the laggy framerate and texture pop in after loads. game runs better installed on hdd but the elevators are hard coded = always loooong..
