MTV Games hires former THQ and Sony execs in key positions

Guthrie's former position was that of executive vice president of publishing at embattled publisher THQ. You know, that company that had to do an executive overhaul and is currently altering its image to forget its past, along with last year's $431 million loss. Hopefully things will go a little better at MTV Games.

I'm expecting a plethora of music-based games from MTV.
But can't forsee many new routes that musical games can follow.
I mean, we already have games based of rythym (forgive spelling) dancing, composing beats, singing to a mic, using instruments and even using a turntable.
So, what's left to do?
Opinions below please

dude, to start off, making it even MORE life like. More buttons, more drums or possibly even start using strings. No one thought we'd have the internet when they developed the ENIAC. These creative guys on the key chairs aren't being paid big bucks for nothing. Admittedly overpaid, but not for nothing.

More drums? strings? Before you know it they'rr want people to learn how to play the actual instrument!
Oh... OHH!!! I get it now.
First it started with a with a dance mat and running pad. Then the eyetoy. Then a little bit bit of waggling. Now natal. They're trying to make us move around aren't they! It's a conspiracy.
They're trying to make us al healthy and active by stealth!!!

fair enough. However, maybe some day these games will become teachers for kids. Not saying they'll substitute actual teachers, but I guess we want to learn instruments because we wanna rock out like our legends. What better way to start learning by doing just that? I mean, I started off drumming because I wanted to be like Keith Moon and John Bonham. I'd love to play Moby Dick on Rock Band.... If I were to play it on real drums, not only would I fail miserably, but I wouldn't be able to remember the whole thing! Thanks to RB, I'd at least have a guide for it.
