UK chart get: Fight Night Round 4 pummels competition
24
The sweet science enjoys a fondness in the United Kingdom, as EA Sports' Fight Night Round 4 enjoyed quite a debut this past week by bobbing and weaving its way to the top, according to Chart Track data. In fact, what makes this even more impressive is that Fight Night Round 4 is the first boxing game ever to reach the top spot on the All Formats chart. We guess our mother was wrong; violence may not solve everything, but it will solve the problem of wondering what type of game will sell extremely well in the UK.

It is less the inclusion of the obvious legends and more the addition of Hatton IMO. Blue Moon indeed...

Why does the black boxer look like Obama?

And the other guy looks a bit like John F Kennedy.

That IS weird considering that they're basically the same person...

More importantly, why is Hatton still standing? And even throwing a punch?!?!

This was a day one purchase, but after playing the demo with horrible analog stick controls, i'll just pass on this one. Oh well EA's loss, back to UFC game.

The screenshots do it no justice at all. Play the demo.

After owning FNR1, 2 and 3 when I played the demo for this I was a bit nostalgic for FNR3 and didn't like this as much.
After having owned the game for 4 days now I can safely say it's the best in the Fight Night series so far. Once the analog stick control has been gotten used to (which you should already be as it was in FNR3) then it plays like a dream and is much more fun fighting other humans than FNR3 was.

Lol indeed. If it was a real boxing simulator, Hatton would be on the floor already.

HATE IT. The new counter system is awful. Basically you can beat the crap out of a guy for 9 rounds, and unless you counter him you're screwed. Unless it's a counter, your punching doesn't do crap. Then, all the CPU needs to do is counter you 2-3 times and you're dog meat. The entire game is now basically waiting for your opponent to throw a punch that you can avoid and then try to counter.
I played probably 6-8 careers of 60 plus fights each and loved it all. I appreciate a lot of the improvements but the counter system is too heavily weighted. I'll be trading this game soon.
