I can only hope the book has such thought provoking dialogue as "THAT'S FIVE MOTHERFUCKERS!" or "There's gonna be ten shitloads of locust down there"

You forgot the heart-wenching, tear-jerking scenes such as Tai blowing his brains out, or the Carmine's deaths, and who can forget the moment where Dom turned to Marcus, a fire in his eyes, and a heart full of lust...

for killing the locust after he saw Maria... god...

They did the same thing with the last book. it was after gears 1 and before gears 2. so Im thinking this one is the same. we are gonna see a gears of war 3 in a years or two. Marcus dad still alive and the locust queen was a human. so maybe this book would tell us something that we been missing.

It might actually win an award if it can find a way to translate pure noise into text.

reading about the gears of war universe sounds fascinating. not. id rather see more focus on creating new content for gamers and not librarians.

I have to agree with you, i had figured that the next book and next game would involve conflicts with humans as well as the locust and the lambent (im speculating) so i cant wait for this one. Also if she writes for star wars i might pick those up as well.

@Sev

I agree. I loved Aspho Fields. It was a lot better then I thought it would be when I picked it up. I can't wait for this one. I know the game is buggy, but I really enjoy the Gears universe.

She is a good writer. Every one of her books pulls me in till the very end. I loved Aspho Fields and to hear she has another gears book coming out next month is a treat indeed!

Cool. Even though the Gears games don't have the deepest plot lines, Aspho Fields was an interesting read.
