Well, that's interesting. I bet there's more to this situation then we're being told. Surely Microsoft would approve of this game from everything I've seen of it

I dunno, I'm guessing this actually is what's going on.

Atlus can't respond because MS will just put the smack down on 'em. Frozenbyte doesn't know any better, 'cuz they're in Europe and have never worked on an XBLA game, so they're obviously just going to state what's up. (And like Nintendo & Sony of Europe, I've noticed that the European companies seem to be a bit more forthcoming with information...much to the chagrin of their US counterparts.)

Microsoft would have to be pretty petty to reject a title that was getting lots of positive press at E3, though.

I wonder if it actually has to do with size limits for XBLA. I know they've been getting a lot more relaxed about it; but if there's something Microsoft would have to 'approve', that'd be it.

But what do I know, I'm just a big Jerk Face.

I specifically came into the comments looking to see if anyone noticed where the girl was, because I couldn't find her.

I think this meme is hilarious. I didn't come here until several hours after the box art was revealed, and I was scrolling through the main site downwards, so I was very confused earlier, seeing that face on the uncharted chick, on the damnation picture...
But now it's funny. :D

LOL, my favorite so far.

Also, I'm going to break the chain for a moment and comment on the actual content of the post. I would love Trine PSN with or without online coop.

I played the demo, and I don't really think co-op would improve the game. It seems pretty well designed around one player switching between the three characters; adding multiple players might speed things up in parts but it might also be detrimental to the overall experience.

Nah, it definitely makes the game a lot more fun (I played through the demo both ways). There are a lot more opportunities for creative thinking when you play cooperatively.

lol I say it becomes Joystiq's new thing... Forever! Either that, or find new exploitable box art every other week.

PS3 version was confirmed to cost $19.99 and the PC version has been confirmed to cost $39.99. However, you can pre-order Trine on Steam and recieve another game for the price of $29.99. That $29.99 price point is not what the game will cost after it launches on the PC.

Alistair Azimuth, $30 is the price for the game on PC before and after launch at both retail and digital. Joystiq updated the original story.

I played this game at E3. Wasn't it on 360 there? Did I play it on a PC with an Xbox controller? I can't remember. Anyway, it's a fun game. It'd be perfect for XBLA.

I'd buy this game only if it's $10 or less, with or without co-op.

My vote would go for:

Would buy on PSN, ONLY WITH ONLINE CO-OP.

Seriously, make it happen.

Well whatever it is that's holding it up (be it MS or Frozenbyte) it would be financial suicide not to release it on XBLA. Yeah sure the PSN is good and all and the PS3 ain't bad, but the PS3 is a sinking ship and you won't see a PS4. Sorry for the tangent

I realize nobody will read this since it's old news. However, I just played the Trine demo off Steam. It's a great game. I'll definitely buy it on XBLA, if it ever comes out.
