Hunt monsters in Namco Bandai's 'God Eater'

Famitsu scans have revealed the God Eater project whose title was trademarked by Namco Bandai a couple of months ago. It's a multiplayer action game for PSP that appears aimed at the Monster Hunter market (which, let's be honest, every Japanese developer probably should be trying to do on the PSP). God Eater trades out the fantasy setting of Monster Hunter for a more futuristic, industrial venue. It features a mix of mythical creatures and big, robotic monsters.

According to Siliconera, God Eater will be out this fall in Japan. The existence of that US trademark suggests that the company will be releasing it here as well.

I've been playing Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. I'm new to the series, but that game is awesome. Challenging, involved, time consuming, and almost tedious at times - but the feeling you get when you finally kill a big monster is amazing and satisfying. It might be my top PSP game.

the first time i dropped a tigrex, i felt like a king. then when i dropped my first elder dragon (the chameleos, which some people say is one of the hardest, but i think it's the 2nd easiest), i almost broke my psp cause i was so happy.

God Eater is the name of a group of people fighting against these beasts called Aragami, with the help of their weapon called "Deus Ex machina" which can take 3 different forms:
Blade, Gun and a predator hybrid form.

With heavy focus on weapon customizing and Co-op.

Unlike Monster Hunter, this one got a story and is more fast paced.

What's with all the Deadspace screaming faces in the last few news posts? Have you guys lost it? Is it because Pachter has finally driven you insane with his numerous announcements, predictions etc? Have you posted so much about him that now your mental breakdown is being manifest in the picture of a woman screaming photoshopped into other news posts? Do you want to inflict another Pacther announcement on your hapless readers but are afraid of the repercussions? Does she represent you screaming to share another Pachter grain of wisdom but can't?
