I often find pretty much all the little Joystiq inside jokes quite humorous and I've been loving the dead space face all day. But this pachter nonsense is just complete fail. For the first time ever I'm a bit disappointed in Joystiq :(

I guess I wasn't the only one to notice the overflow of Pachter stories today. This morning I counted that 8 of the 15 front-page stories were about his predictions.

Pachter is definitely one of the stupidest anaylsts around.

'Bout time Patcher got his recognition. He's a cool guy, anyone who has met him will tell you that. Way cooler than Norris, IMO.

if people can start a petition for Starcraft II, we ought to start one against Pachter! can we go a day without that guy???

I have nothing against the guy, personally. I watch "Bonus Round", and from a business stand point only, he's about 80% right. His predictions are always wrong, but at lease he can admit when he's wrong, which is most of the time.

Let's be honest here, he's a "johnny come lately" in the games industry. He speaks well. He dresses, like some like him would dress. In wall street business attire, which is completely un-relatable in gaming. When he talks about his co-workers, his peers, and people that he has to deal with at work. They all sound like a bunch of jealous, annoying, wall street douchebags, and it makes Patcher come off as just a ringing gong of non-sense. Completely out of touch with what's going on -- in gaming.

However, he (and his family) represents a section of the population. Outside of "our little click". Only when he speaks of his family and actually playing games, THAT is when his opinion is important, or correct. That's when he "get's it". That's when he makes sense and is relatable as a person talk about a subject/hobble/pastime that I care about.

JOYSTIQ stop letting pacheter do you in the no no place. I swear if there is another pachter article in the next 24 hours except to announce xbox 720 I will never return to joystiq.com
