After deftly dodging questions like, "How many polygons are there in Nathan's eyebrow?" and "Can I give Elena an accent in my fanfic?" Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells confirmed a new Uncharted 2: Among Thieves demo in an online Q&A held yesterday, courtesy of the PlayStation Blog. "Yes, we're going to have another multiplayer demo before the game hits shelves," Wells said. "The exact timing isn't finalized yet, but it should be available to an even wider group this time, so if you missed the last one I don't think you'll have any problem getting in this one."
We're hoping that by "even wider group," he's referring to everyone who can't wait to play the frantically anticipated action-adventure (which is everyone) and failed to gain entry into the recent beta. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is currently scheduled for release this Fall -- a more exact date will be announced "very soon," Wells teased.

ya better go ahead and swallow your pride to go (dunno how you hate that store but whatever, maybe a bad experience idk or care) preorder your copy, get the beta code then cancel your preorder and get your money back a few days later cause gamestop is the only place to get access from at the moment. unless you are with ign or something and they give codes

Now that is just lovely! It only needs Michael Pachter heads on her pursuers.

I think they are spending more time on the shop than they have been on the article. Maybe you guys should do an article on how patcher predicts there will be a massphotoshoping on joystiq

Well, they probably have a lot of time on their hands since all they need to do is write a sometimes snide paragraph and quote another publication for almost ALL of their "articles"

Why is the girl from the Dead Space Extraction cover art being super imposed on all the images for posts after hers?

It's not a photoshop, Jem warned you to not look at too long or it'll get stuck in your head.
Guess everyone stared at it too long.

Time distortion. You'll get it stuck in your head eventually, retroactively.

How about a single player demo? You know...something that's actually interesting to play.

The multiplayer was just your regular deathmatch and "capture the flag". Why people get excited to play that in every single game is beyond me. I want a taste of the real Uncharted, the great single player it's going to have.

I agree with you the Uncharted MP is ok but weve seen all of it in others places.
And actually done better as well.
It's decent but im getting uncharted for the SP, since that's what Uncharted is all about.

Please stfu if you don't know what you're talking about.
Quoting from the PSBlog that Joystiq kindly linked in this post:
[Just so you know who's answering the questions, 'AmyH' is the Creative Director Amy Hennig and 'Evan Wells' is the Co-President of ND]
"Comment From xaos
Was there any concern when deciding to add multiplayer that the new focus might hinder the single player experience? Any pitfalls to balancing the two?
AmyH: Actually, developing the multiplayer experience has enabled us to improve and enhance the single player experience, because it's allowed us to really tune all the play mechanics and get a lot of great feedback along the way.
We made sure when we set out to create the multiplayer component of the game, that it wouldn't impact the single player experience negatively in any way. We expanded the team to accommodate the additional development, and assigned people to focus exclusively on multiplayer or single-player. That way both experiences are equally well-developed."
Also, good news for those who don't like multiplayer trophies:
"Comment From Havoc_Maker
Will Uncharted 2 have multiplayer trophies?
Evan Wells: We're still finalizing our final list of Trophies and it looks like we might include a couple of MP trophies, but we don't want to have any that require any amount of grinding to rack up a ton of kills or wins."
So no, single-player *definitely* isn't dying out in favor of multiplayer, they didn't even want to compromise the singleplayer trophies.

umm hey t-mac
There was co-op in the multiplayer beta as well. Deathmatch is always deathmatch but the little treasure game was a little more than just CTF. But, you have to actually play it for longer than one or two matches to get the hang of the flow and teamwork elements down. Daisy chaining those golden statues is pure unadulterated fun.
Like I said if you want to get an idea about the campaign you should have played the 3 person co-op mode. I don't know what it is with you lately but you are so negative about EVERYTHING. In fact, there was a helicopter in the co-op so there.

OK, for a minute there I thought I was losing it. I thought I was seeing the same screaming face of the same woman over and over again. But now I realize that it's just a mirage. It's not really the same face. In fact it's not even a woman. See, I'm not going crazy. Really, it's not the same woman. Really, I'm not seeing anything at all. Really, I mean it. REALLY!!!!
