New Uncharted 2 multiplayer demo incoming

After deftly dodging questions like, "How many polygons are there in Nathan's eyebrow?" and "Can I give Elena an accent in my fanfic?" Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells confirmed a new Uncharted 2: Among Thieves demo in an online Q&A held yesterday, courtesy of the PlayStation Blog. "Yes, we're going to have another multiplayer demo before the game hits shelves," Wells said. "The exact timing isn't finalized yet, but it should be available to an even wider group this time, so if you missed the last one I don't think you'll have any problem getting in this one."

We're hoping that by "even wider group," he's referring to everyone who can't wait to play the frantically anticipated action-adventure (which is everyone) and failed to gain entry into the recent beta. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is currently scheduled for release this Fall -- a more exact date will be announced "very soon," Wells teased.

Was this planned? Is this a widespread coordination between joystiq writers? Or are you guys just seeing each others posts and lolling at them?

I think they did most of these articles hours ago and just set them to pop up at certain times...lol

how 'bout just a regular damn demo? i didn't/don't like the mulitplayer beta. i don't think Uncharted is the kinda game that has to have multiplayer in order for it to have longevity.

what is it with everyone saying the same thing today. The multiplayer beta included competitive and co-operative multiplayer modes. You could have played through an altered part of the story with two other players in co-op instead of straight up online competitive multiplayer.

They released a multiplayer beta for stress tests on the system and do gaguge what updates needed to be done. Now, they are saying there will be a multiplayer demo (as in improvements from the beta and essentially the finished multiplayer product) and I'm pretty confident they will release a single player demo at some point as well. But, like I said you can just play the co-op mode and get an idea about how the single player will feel.

I can't wait for the co-op mode also and online

im 2 far behind in my gaming library since I
decided to play the metal gear series im only
on mgs3 and still have 4 waiting on the shelf
along with dead space next will be infamous.
But it was well worth it so far these games
are all great!

So the single player looks like God on a Disc so far and the multiplayer is apparently as freaking amazing.

If this isn't GOTY I'll eat my f*ckin' shoe(s).
