Sony should also refund those who had to pay $150 or so for their PS3's repair after the warranty expired, the YLOD and Blu-Ray drive failures are the fault of Sony, not the customer, even if these issues are not as widespread as the 360's technical errors, they still affect a significant number of PS3s.
This is one sticking point I have with Sony, they make it right like Microsoft has and I'll have a better view of them.

I haven't received mine either. I believe the warranty statement on their site said to check back to the support page before November 1. They don't actually say when they will have anything in place to start the process. Knowing from my past conversations with Xbox live support, they won't know anything.....

I have never had this problem with the E74 I've had a problem with the RRoD but not this. My xbox is the "Core" I got mine back in 2005 and it was the first and I still have it no problems RRoD it only frozed on me because it was over heating it didn't get a enough air so i moved it.

i live in the uk and have been waiting for a email with a ups label attached for over 3 months. ive sent three emails to get support for my problem 3 time ms replied telling me to contact them by phone. the first two time i was put on hold for nearly 30 min and the third and final time after 15 mins on hold a man asked for my name. he quickly hung up on me. So at this point i've given up on microsoft repairing their poorly made £180 brick that i'm now going to buy a cheap seconded hand one. Which by count will be my 4th xbox 360

I just had an E74, got my e-mail with UPS label withing an hour and my console is already on the way back to me in under 1 week. If I were you I'd cancel the repair on the support site and open a new one.
