PSA: E74 victims should have received refund check by now

If your Xbox 360 fell victim to the E74 error and you paid Microsoft for the repair, you should have received a refund check back from the company by today. If you paid for a repair and have yet to receive a check, you'll need to follow up with Microsoft before the hard deadline of November 1, 2009. After that ... well, you're just going to have to eat it.

The E74 error was placed under a similar warranty to that of the Xbox 360's "Red Ring of Death," after data revealed it was another widespread defect for the console.

I haven't received my cheque yet. When I go to the site, I follow MS's link to the page to file a claim and I get a server error. Yeah, they're being SO generous in refunding but you can't actually get to the page to request the rebate ):

I need to remember to send mine in. I was looking for an excuse to buy a 360 Elite almost a year ago then I get the the E74 error. Found out I had to pay so went and bought a new 360. Crossing fingers I'll be able to get this fixed free so I can have one at the cottage and home.

Think I'll set up some reminder on computer right now to remind me every day until I do it.
