Vandal Hearts delayed for XBLA and PSN, still hearts you

If you had your heart set on downloading Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment via XBLA or PSN this September, prepare to have it broken. Konami has confirmed to Joystiq a report by Eurogamer that the return of the company's classic strategy RPG franchise has been delayed until "winter."

No reason was provided for the postponement of the game, which we first caught a glimpse of earlier this year. Let's hope the developer's equipment wasn't ... wait for it ... vandalized. (That one was from the heart.)

i dont even want this crap. look at the horrible art and character design. looks like it was made domestically. Looks like a video game adaptation of a cartoon network show or something. Doesn't really deserve the the vandal hearts stamp, and while we're at it, Konami stop outsourcing your best franchises like Silent Hill to horrible american developers. Americans do not have the proper sensibilities to maintain the tone and horror of the Silent HIll series much less Vandal Hearts.

You sound like someone who was working on this game and got the boot? So much hate!! A Kotaku web blogger?.. which really seems to hate everything about this game. From what I have seen...it mostly looks like a decent xbox live arcade game. I do think a few images are strange, but overall it looks like a decent turn based hack em and kill em game. Throw in tons of blood (which I read it did have -thank you!) then how can you lose? Blood = fun.

That's some theory. I suppose anyone who is turned off by the progress of a game is someone who got the boot from the development team? The problem is that it looks 'decent' when vandal hearts has typically been exceptional. And blood is not a dealbreaker or maker for me. gimme a break, what am i 5? WOZERZ BLOOD!

Actually it was a pretty racist thing he said about americans. You are right it may be a bad theory I threw out...just sensed a lot of hate. I try and play a game or read a dozen reviews before I ramp up to terminator salvation hate levels myself. I played the old vandal hearts..and it pretty much looked like an eye sore back then. The only thing that made it stand out was the blood rushing out. Then after you stuck around for that, you discoverd a pretty good game....but let us be honest..the original VH was horrible in the looks...this one looks way better than that.
