Glad it's still in beta. There are some animation issues, rocketing scores, and the lack of host audio.

DId I miss any?

Is anyone getting into the mob repeatedly? I've had a party member get in once... other than that, zilch.

Signing in/out is really glitchy, we all tried joining a game but it just wouldn't work. And the game frequently crashes and kicks you out saying you need to redownload it.

The prize should be like 800 ms points or more,Microsoft probably don't have to pay to get ms points since they invented them, and its a good prize.

@ Damian

"Microsoft probably doesn't have to pay to get ms points since they invented them"

They're paying... MS points are still currency... MS will still need to pay the companies that provide the products we eventually buy with those points.

on another note....

"skill-based prizes" .... hmmm.. I hope that they do something like radio station prizes where you can only win once every 30 days.

It seems like I always see the same people at the top. If they didn't do something like that then those people would win every time and that would be really lame.

"Randomly" selected based on you % of correct answers and speed overall and the past round.

I'm doing about 88% with less than 1 sec response time and still haven't hit the mob

Thats great news if you're one of the lucky 100 people out of the 20,000+ in a game.

Of course none of it matters if the mob is almost always made up of the same top players.

I feel the same way. I'd write my MD state representatives if I knew specifically what laws were making Microsoft skittish. Have they ever released that information?

I was in the mob for the first time tonight. Glad to hear prizes will be awarded starting next week. I wonder how many people will play with the real prizing?

The extended play thing really ruined the game for me. I'd rather they just have one or two games a week, or make the extended play not count, than do what they're doing. It's really disheartening when it's almost always the same people on the top, and it just seems like a situation where you can't get ahead, and it's best not to even bother with it.

I'm sure others agree.. the numbers have dropped from 99,000 in a game, to about 8,000-10,000 per game :x

yeah i played 1 extended play......no thx otherwise and seeing the same people over and over is old. They need it entirely random on selection and keep track of it, so everyone gets a fair shot at doing it.

While I agree that they need to change the rules for mob selection, at the same time going purely random won't help that much - your odds of getting in would still be very low. Even if only 10,000 people are playing during a Live game, only 101 people get a chance at prizes per round (excluding the top 3 crowd members, which isn't really possible to get). Thta's a 1% chance of getting selected. Last night's Live session had about 10 rounds I think (granted, some of The One's were *really* bad, so they went fast), so that still doesn't give you great odds of getting in.

They definitely need to do something, though. While I find it sort of fun for now, I can see myself only playing for Achievements at some point, and if Achievements aren't in yet, I'll probably just hold off until they are. At this rate, I'm obviously never going to win any of the prizes.

Actually, the same people do NOT get into the mob in the same episode. You can only be in the mob ONCE per show and you can only be the One ONCE per season.

I say this with absolute certainty because I made it into the mob 2 weeks ago, myself and 2 other players in the mob were all that was left standing after the One blew a question, and after the round was over, I was back in the crowd.

I didn't find it very fun. I would play to win MS points though. Rock Band DLC is really eating up my paychecks and I need to start saving up for all the great games coming out in the next 6 months.

it's possible, but unhelpful as your score would be very low and you are unlikely to find it in time

Most of the questions they ask on here are stupidly simple. If you have to "cheat", then you must be an incredible moron.

I play Extended play for about an hour every night and do pretty well, and I haven't been in the Mob yet. I think my lifetime score is about 2.1m right now.

I played for most of the show last night; so far I think the biggest issue is network hangups. I wound up getting dropped twice during the game, and I KNOW it wasn't just my network. If they can fix connectivity issues and make mob selection truly randomized, it should be much better. As it is I wound up stuck in the Crowd the whole time, which was slightly disappointing but not such a big deal since they aren't giving out skill based prizes yet. (I did notice some weirdness with the hosts voices, but only a few times. It didn't seem like a major issue to me).

I hope they have PLENTY of rounds later on. Like others have said, the odds aren't greta, plus who ARE those people who rate being The One then blow really easy questions? Pressure? Ok, I guess, but that's what the helps are for.

As long as you stay away from The Brain. MAYBE gets it right 50% of the time...

@Chris: Testing is right. I Think they wanted to test the waters to see whether theyre gnna make us pay or not and/or the difficulty of getting prizes within the game.

I live in London and have a great time jumping in with a few American players, the game is great. Not sure I totally agree with extended play though.

And usually at the same time.

I guess it's because we play the same extended plays together. =/
