IGN shows us Milo's future

Concept and execution are two totally different worlds. Although the concept and initial presentation of Lionhead Studios' Milo blew everyone away at E3 2009, what does fate have in store for the little digital boy's longterm execution? IGN attempts to answer that question in a little sketch they put together. We all know Milo will lose his innocence once he's in the hands of normal people, but just how bad will it become? Check out the video after the break.

No only the dumb/deluded/paidoff press off press that couldn't see how faked it was. It was 60% prerecorded and 40% "live" with faked responsed by a bloke out back.

How Microsoft got away with deceiving so many people, and Sony got strung up so badly for KZ2 @ E3 2005 is anyones guess. Actually, it's not a guess at all, we all know the agenda here, American press, American console, can do no wrong, even with a 50% failure rate and crappy chargable P2P online service, the American press somehow still defend Xbox.

Pathetic. Not nearly as pathetic as the people that can't see through the sham that's being offered up here.

actually most video game sites got to play with it and molineux even admitted to it being fake and a lot of them noted that there was a guy behind the scenes controlling him..

But yes Milo is real, Microsoft have out done them selves they actually managed to perfect AI, what so many developers & robotics experts in the world are working on, Microsoft has managed to do on a games console no less..

From os' that bsod (hidden with a reboot now) to games consoles that rrod with appalling fail rates (+68% in their own test runs 32 out of 100 would pass which means 68 would fail straight from production) http://games.slashdot.org/games/08/09/06/0010219.shtml to demos of a somewhat broken motion detection system, to perfecting AI..

Yeah I agree. It was a good concept but the execution just wasn't there. Seems like they just threw this skit together at the last minute.

I haven't even watched this, but this is one thing I might actually agree on you with. The IGN Final Fantasy XIII english dub videos were extremely NOT funny, and I don't see this being any better.

Leave the comedy to places like Screwattack.

Resize the picture to something small and proportional (78x78) and it should stick. I've changed my avatar probably 10-15 times ... it still randomly reverts to an older avatar but usually sticks.

That's another video reminder why I've got an aversion to IGN. I didn't think they can hit further bottom with their elitist juvenile deliquesce. The lines between IGN, classless porn and some vulgar fat nerds (you know who I'm talking about) are thinning to void. I was almost surprised they didn't edit in sexual penetration or at the very least show the guy act like he bangs her -- I mean, really, the F bombs, "I so wanna getting laid" and "Oh it's so big" being thrown so loosely in this video, squarely shit on any sentinel being with a bit of decency in this universe.

While I welcome hot chicks to showcase games, this is absolute trash. It makes me physically ill that it has so much recognition as one of the best gaming sites around.

I don't have a problem with them being vulgar or classless so long as it's funny. This just wasn't that funny.

Go watch something like Eastbound and Down on HBO if you want to see hilarious comedy that both genius and vulgar. It's probably the funniest show ever made and it's first season only had 6 episodes.

Danny McBride = Comedic Genius.

Foot Fist Way ,Eastbound and Down, Land Of The Lost remake, Observe and report, Tropic Thunder ... There is lots of fantastic comedy out there thats completely classless but still manages to be brilliant at the same time.

This little IGN video was pretty much unfunny and uninspired. The concept had potential but the execution and acting was just downright pitiful.

It's just comedy dude... nothing serious. And you clearly follow IGN if you know half of the names of all the editorial staff... IGN never acts serious in there videos or podcasts.. but it's not like it shows in their journalism. There podcasts are only 45 minutes long because there reviews are about 15 paragraphs long.

Don't take that stuff seriously... seriously...
