On this crummiest of days, it's as important as ever to try and find the silver lining in your life's costly, nauseating rain clouds. Sure, your highly illegal "Bottle Rocket Surprise" maneuver didn't work as well as you'd intended, but now that you don't have any hair left on your arms, you'll be able to swim really fast, like Michael Phelps, who is awesome.
Oh, and we've got Japanese Hardware Sales for you to digest! They may not be as juicy or flavorful as the nine Cheddarwurst you consumed last night, but at least they won't attempt to escape your body during the slimy alien autopsy scene in the middle of your annual viewing of Independence Day.

i think we should have a comment system like FML's one. having 2 minutes after commenting to edit it. that way, trolls can't change what they say after people call them out on it, and we can still go back and fix whatever errors we had.

What's there to be surprised about, the PS3 always sells in Japan. It's the 360 that isnt really selling well.

Except well is streching it. It took the PS3 something like 45 weeks excluding the first three days after launch to pass the 10k mark agian. They now sit pretty regularly at 11k but its still just 45k a month. Which compared to the US numbers in the 200k-300k and even higher during x-mas, its a small junk of change.

And outselling DS Lite isn't impressive, since Japan's pretty much dropping that in favor of DSi. :|

I'm surprised that the 360 is very close to selling 1:2 to the PS3.
That is actually good considering that it used to be 1:4 at one point.

It's the middle of summer, there's not much of anything out or coming out for a while. That Batman game's coming out next month, but I'm not sure how many people besides me are excited for that one :\

There have been plenty of games released this Summer that are better than that Batman game. I can't speak for the entire Batman Arkham Asylum game but I played the demo in store and the combat was clunky as hell. Not impressive at all.

The demo was amazing. Sadly, I only got to play it for a minute or so at my local Sony store. There was a huge crowd waiting to play it, most under 15 years old and I felt a little embarrassed among them. I regret not sticking around for longer . . . damn my insecurity.
But the combat felt more fluid than anything I've played before.
I'll do my best to buy the game, or at least rent it.

"Sprinkles" (and other "people" like that) make life hard for the people who work here that would rather spend time writing quality content than banning people for acting like ill-mannered children. I can imagine that you folks can appreciate that. Aside from wasting our time, those kinds of actions make actual conversation far more difficult than it should be. Just because we're online does not mean we're anonymous and it most certainly doesn't mean we're not accountable. I don't miss "Sprinkles" and I hope everyone here can understand my reasoning.

I don't think anyone would argue banning Sprinkles was wrong, he had it coming for a long time, and although I did enjoy the casual crucifixion of Sprinkles when he posted something ridiculous, he was getting pretty boring. Kind of like a decent show that has had a few seasons too many.

Excuse me, Michael Phelps is awesome? Okay, so he's the greatest Olympic athlete of all time, but there was a picture of the guy with a pipe in his mouth. What sort of example does it set, that a man in his young 20's can just go ahead and enjoy himself at a party, when everyone else his age is doing the exact same thing without the scrutiny of the world's media on their shoulders?

I know people don't have to get high to have a good time. I'm not even advocating what he do. I just feel that it's stupid that this almost ruined the guy's career. He was suspended for a few months and a few companies pulled their endorsements from him.
Meanwhile, athletes like Ray Lewis get away with(at least) having knowledge about a double murder.

The PS3 was selling around 100k + a month when the games started pouring out early this year. It'd be interesting to see what the rumored slim + price cut will do in the region.

Yes they do, wii sports resorts comes with the wii motion plus add on, and depiste this the hardware for wii didnt go up as much as analysts expected..
